Bumping this thread up, 'cause I've been listening to this for the past 10 minutes and I think it deserves as much recognition as any other Sesame spoof:
I'm a little displeased with the strong emphasis on Pixar characters rather than actual, original Disney ones. And the game seems very more promotional than being a fun game that has different Disney stars (i.e Kingdom Hearts). I mean, Monsters' U, Jack Sparrow is advertised as being from the...
And I"m pretty sure there's new Ernie material for season 44; a video about their new divorce kit showed BTS footage of Eric and Steve filming in a park setting, and a SW intern posted a picture a month or so ago on Tumblr of her and Ernie, with some of the park set being shown.
They're always recorded in English first. The Barrio Sesamo mini-series that debuted last summer had the bits made for that show, but they were clearly recorded in English first.

And I wouldn't go so far as to say SW doesn't like fandom; they allow fans to upload their videos on YT and they evan based their original video site on that notion.
They've made plenty of new bits; they're just aired internationally and not on the main show for no reason. Like the new one that debuted this season; they filmed at least two others on the same day, as they've aired on the new season of Sesamstrasse.
In the commentary, Brain said that having some of the established characters playing the ghosts would've diluted the emotion of the story (i.e. Gonzo as the Past).
The ghosts aren't very Muppety, with the exception of Present, who's fabulous.
It's motion sensor technology; so when you make a "throw" motion, an object will be thrown toward the characters as needed.
And these aren't an every week thing; a disc of eight episodes was released in late 2012 and this new set of eight is on the Xbox Marketplace. They're not really new...
