Good to know this thing's finally out. I'll consider checking this out, even though I already have every single issue of the comic. It's nice to have them all in one collector's edition, so I can easily read them without having to dig the old issues out and get finger prints all over them.
...and I was all like, "all current movie posters suck?"
Cracked points some out in grave detail.
Using posers over and over in cut and paste is one thing, but they didn't shorten a human's legs to cartoon proportions! Eek!
Ricky is a loud mouth that annoys button down people. Unless he's become like Michael Cera and people just hate seeing him in a film THAT much because of one bad movie. But if a bunch of prudish parental groups P&M'd about an "adult" movie star being in a kid's movie, then they'd better off...
Anyone catch this yet?
I'll admit, at first I was a little put off by the fact it was another Flash/Toon Boom series, but the animation is much more fluid than what was seen in the preview. Definitely leaps and bounds better than Gene Dietch or Filmation ever was. I'm actually quite enjoying...
And the ones that do have a general understanding of the characters keep subjecting us to deeply depressed Gonzo. Seriously... MFS, VMX, LTS. He had an excuse in the first 2... but LTS? Why did he turn into Winnie the Pooh from his Christmas special? Being a loner, not being appreciated in...
The job series has been out for a little while. Dunno if anything else was revealed at Toy Fair.
I really wish they'd do something for the 45th anniversary.
Let's also note that the Sesame Street characters did that song near the crux of its popularity unironically and it still wasn't very good.
I'm actually surprised they didn't do it straightforward on Muppets Tonight. It's not like the Muppets haven't done bad songs before.
Heh. I don't think there's any logical way to make these things look good. Maybe if they were like, five feet tall or something. I guess this is for that small overlap of Venn Diagram that both remember Fraggle Rock and like string dolls. I don't see the appeal on either side other wise ...
Not the fans, but the movie critics. I've ranted about that soundly already, no need to go back into that detail.
But yeah. Critics that gave this a negative review gave it a negative review for pretty idiotic reasons. Essentially for daring to be a different movie than the last one that had...
Someone would have to want to acquire a license to a 30 year old cable show. That's why the only things we've seen are high end and designery. String Dolls are apparently a thing, and they have DC comic ones (that look much better, but are essentially just regular string doll things in Batman...
So... people actually didn't get the song was used ironically, especially since the audience in the film cringed at it?
I'm sure it's the same group that think the movie was a disappointment because Jason Segal wasn't in it.
Cartoon based film. It's the best of the entire series of film made based on a Jay Ward cartoon. And considering I just saw the trailer for the old Boris and Natasha movie, Peabody and Sherman wasn't exactly in good company to begin with. George of the Jungle 1+2 were the best in their class...
I get confused by Hollywood bookkeeping. If a movie doesn't quite get make back it's budget domestically, but it turns a tidy profit internationally, is it still considered a flop? I ask on behalf of this movie and Peabody, as I want BOTH to be considered successful enough to continue...
I wouldn't sell Peabody short. If nothing else, it's the BEST Jay Ward cartoon movie by leaps and bounds. But that's pretty weak competition, anyway. But it is a good movie that unfortunately became a dueling film with MMW. I hope Dreamworks calls it a win, even though it's like 45 million...
Dudley was done near the half way point of Bullwinkle's run. Specifically the 1961 channel hop to NBC. Aesop and Son, at least according to The Moose that Roared was just before that. General Mills wanted a replacement early on for Fractured Fairy Tales because someone on board considered it...
