UGH! I hate the misconception that sheltering kids from alcohol references is a thing we need to do. Seriously, I watched one of those Netflix Turbo cartoons, and I freaking applauded that they referenced wine in a gourmet setting.n I freaking love how in the Avengers cartoon, you still see the...
Again, that's an apples and phone books comparison. Casablanca exists solely as one movie. We're talking about a series of 8 theatrical movies, 4 more DTV's, 3 TV shows (counting JHH), several specials (I'm too lazy to count) and various side projects (also too lazy to count)... NOT counting...
You kinda have to like sex puns to like it.
I..uh... do.
It is from the same people behind Sex and the City (or is it in the City... I forget) after all.
REALLY liked her in the Thor movies, though.
While there are a faction of stick in the mud purists... really? Like I've said a dozen or so times before, why is this a problem now? Jim's been gone for quite some time, and they have at least 20 years of "the magic is gone" to complain about. Why these two movies specifically? If there's...
Those aren't too bad. I swear the Pinocchio one is supposed to be a reference to Shrek somehow (almost the same exact voice is used for him as the Shrek version).
But the ones where paintings in a gallery talk to each other are abysmal! A cat that turns into a phone for no reason? Creepy...
People love to dump on it because, as I've said before, mild disappointment= worst film EVER. You can't blame Nolan for making Dark Knight so good that it was an impossible act to follow. While I'll admit, it seems he choked under the pressure, he was able to tie the ENTIRE movie franchise...
The Cleveland Show was something Seth took blame for, when he was barely involved. The network just about made them make a spinoff because Family Guy was popular. Essentially the show had no love because this was when everyone decided Seth MacFarline had too much overexposure (even though the...
I really hope so.
On the plus side, these things are easier to get now... on the minus side, that means no more Muppet Merchandise, and that little cubby hole will be filled with even more Planes nonsense. The movie may not have performed as it should have, but if they can still make their...
I'm getting much less confident it will manage to make back its budget domestically by the time it's out of theaters. It really only needs 10 million more, but I just don't see them pulling it off unless there's a fluke. I'm sure it passed budget, albeit barely, internationally. It did make...
I have to admit, while I did really enjoy the pilot, the series itself is much better, and more defined. But I guess that usually is the case. Maybe it's because this is the first time we get to see Clarence and his friends in a public place with adults nervously reacting to their weird little...
It took essentially Iron Man 3 for Super Hero films to get a good third one. Even though a lot of stick in the mud purists thought it was awful that they made The Mandarin a not racist Chinese stereotype, you know... because comic book writers have never changed the race, personality, or...
Can someone PLEASE tell whoever makes those different plush toys that do things commercials to stop making them so annoying? "Hopw Much Stuff can you Stuff a Stuffies stuff stuff stuff stuff?" Yeah, let's repeat that 4 times in a commercial. That is NOT obnoxious at all.
And while I'm at...
It's a not horrible third movie out of a trilogy. The third film being good is a rare bird in and of itself, but one that really manages to stand out is a nigh impossible feat achieved only by Toy Story and Iron Man. The third's usually where the films break apart, even if there was supposed...
The sad thing is, there actually are classic style Captain America posters , but they're for sale, not for actual movie display. All these action movies have the same orange and blue look to them, and while exciting on their own... they blend together and none of them stand out.
The worst...
In so much as what will happen to his Comedy Central gig, I wish I could be happy about it, but I'm not. He may just have some mainstream, non-political, network appeal yet. I'm not worried about that. Just, I think we'll all miss the Colbert Report, and this will be something different.
Big Bang seems to be very polarizing. I don't quite understand why. It's not bad by any means... a little overrated and killing Community's ratings (I HATE that they're opposite each other).
Anyway, if I didn't say it before, I'll say it again. Two and a Half Men. Now, I liked the Charlie...
It's definitely a credit to its streamlined animation.
It's actually funny how much popularity Tom and Jerry manages to retain. They have annual movies (which are probably not that good, I only saw the Nutcracker one and was unimpressed, but didn't find it horrible). They even had that other...
Actually, it depends on the film. Most sequels manage to do better than the first one, especially in the case of bigger budget super hero movies. Some animated movies manage to get a larger take in their second (and sometimes third) outing.
I'm personally not surprised Happy Feet 2 flopped...
More movies need post credit bits if you ask me. Especially animated family films. Some do, but it would have been something if Peabody and Sherman ended with something... besides classic drawings of Peabody and Sherman walking into the WABAC.
Though I will say, The Muppets put too much...
