Hey Debo!
Ack, sorry your summer wasnt as pleasant as it could have been:(
Nothing really major happened for me June thru August myself.
Didnt go on any major road trips, didnt really meet a gf, and didnt
get to do *too* much underwater tropical snorkling(ok, like that would happen) I...
I've been pestering folks about this since December 2001;) But yeah, one of the coolest things I've ever seen Muppet wise, I think we'd all love to have a dvd of this. Hopefully they will have another live Muppet event in the future.
Mine would be a jubilatory celebration to ring through the trumpeted halls of the ages and the glorious hyms of a seraphim choir.
Bereft in ammorous array, my ultimate uber cool wedding would
be like the festivites at the end of Phantom Menace or Jedi,
the collective euphoria of risen...
My third millennium(new years 1999) sucked...so Ive already made plans for the fourth millennium 2999 AD. I have faith before too long science, a fluke in the genome, *something* will enable some immortality. I am a quarter century, I need quite a few centuries to enjoy all the wonders of the...
My complaint is that my name is not in a bigger font on the back of the box;) j/k (anybody have a scan of the back of the box?)
Still havent ordered mine yet.
Only Animal is out, but I CANNOT WAIT for Pepe and Beaker! Eeee, more Fisher Price/Jack In The Box 4" scale Muppet figures! Man, 2003 is such a kick but Muppet merch year!
Well its retarded of Nanco not to sell em retail...but I didnt so much 'win' it. YA see it was a very empty slow day at the fair, and they were desperate, so I said I'd give her $5 if she let me 'win', so I got it. I didnt see the 5" beaker tho. I dont like those big plushes, just the small...
BJM is one of those very special, unique films that only come around once in a great while. I believe 1999 was such a rare film year, as it had so many cool films that really made you think or did something unique.
1999: Being John Malkovich, The Matrix, Fight Club, The Insider, The Straight...
mmmm! Well today was a most plentiful Muppet merch day plush wise!
They had all the new Nanco Muppet Show plushes at the state fair, won a 5" Bunsen for $5...they also had Beaker, Rizzo, Pepe, and even Sesame and Bear!
Then I went across the street to Hot Topic, and lo and behold they had...
Tonight, I was totally on channel Z! Oh gosh, I had the most amazing time tonight...I know some of you like the B-52's, as I just got back from an amazing hour and a half show they put on at the California state fair tonight. It was so cool, got in for free, and couldnt believe what a kick butt...
Only one place round here has em...nowhere in san francisco or anywhere else, but for some reason this little comic store in sacramento had em. Very very cool, much more like figures than any figurines or pvcs we've seen before.
Oh I didnt even think about that aspect. I dont think twice about Sesame being anything other than Muppets. Most of America and the world sees Sesame Street as the Muppets...I guess as hardcore fans we see a distinction between "Muppet Show" Muppets and SS muppets. But its great they have those...
May you have a very wocka wocka birthday Kevin! Did you and Muley have a night out on the town? I hope ya had a great bday day!
(and hopefully it wasnt filled with vegetable throwing^_^ )
Reading Phil's review I am extremely excited about getting this. With an MSRP of $10 bucks, and for the first time a dvd solely devoted to rare archival footage(a first I beliece) this is really something special. I hope there is more to come, such as the TMS pilots, sam and friends, and other...
Geez, and I expected more thought from the Oxford-Englis Dictionary. Under Muppet it should read imagination, wonder, creativity, friendship and laughter.
then again can you really respect a dictionary that enters MTV words like "bling bling" and actually take them seriously?
Happy Bday Luke my man! *wonders whatyour next gimmick angle will be after penguins and Britney Spears* I know! David Hasslehoff and cactus plants!
Ok, well hope ya had a good one, and thanks for keeping a perspective on our collective looney bin selves^_^
I dub thee, the voice of reason...
I was more than happy to pay the comic book store prices for pack 1 and 2 of the Muppet Show 'minis' as I just couldnt believe the detail.
I am not sre if I would call them 'mini' per se, as they seem to fit 100% in line with the Fisher Price and Jack in the box line. As a 3-4.5" figure...
Yes, because Hot Topic never carries anything cool Muppet or Sesame related;) Anyhoo, I had heard rumor of this, so wow...see, now if only JHC could undue all the focus placed on Muppet Babies merch, and pour it into FR, that would be something!
I have not heard any news for 2004 other than...
It's pretty cool they have an 'edgy' puppet show on broadway...even more cooler that seasoned JHC related folks are actually working with or in the show.
I'll admit, I was no fan of Greg the bunny or Crank Yankers. But
from the few clips I saw this is definately, well more than just...
1) Real TMNT fans *love* the mid to late 80's TMNT, loved the first film, but hated everything that came after...but love the new TMNT series.
2) Transformers fans; most fans are generation one(the way it should be)
3) I cant speak for anyone else, ,but me?
Speaking strictly on the films...
