I agree. It seems like you already said everything I was going to say. I especially liked that they had the "Singing in the Shower" song. That may have been a reference to Olivia considering the actress passed away last year. I recall that was one of her most famous songs.
Awwww. I missed a new Super Grover 2.0. I only watched up to Abby's Flying Fairy School. I guess that will teach me to go to the gym in the morning. Lol.
I did like the street scene. Nice to see Susan's annual appearance. I'm pretty sure that was her this time. Plus it seems like...
I thought that was an interesting theory about Cullen since he's also the voice of Eeyore on 'Winnie-the-Pooh,' but someone else is doing the voice for the upcoming movie. The same is true with a lot of characters. I guess Disney is aware of this concept and is trying out some new VAs, sort of...
Since we're talking about animation here, one thing I've noticed that's interesting is Frank Welker voicing Fred Jones of 'Scooby-Doo' fame. I saw him in the Elvis movie "The Trouble with Girls" and noticed his real voice sounded exactly like Freddy's. But then they did a behind the scenes...
That's okay. They replayed that episode this morning, so I was able to see that segment. I thought it was really good. Very reminiscent of the old 'Ask Oscar' days. I might need to watch the repeat episodes more often and see whatelse they're hiding.
Thanks for the info, Oscarfan. I guess that's the trouble with having so many 'reruns' this season. You don't think there will be anything new there, but sometimes they throw a curveball. I think I missed the 'Price' episode this morning. I'll have to watch for the next time it airs.
Yeah. I was going to ask about that one. I wasn't sure if that was new to this season or not. I thought that sounded like Frank as Bert, but Eric is so good it's sometimes hard to tell. Plus Frank does still perform once or twice per season.
I was wondering about that. I missed the...
Oh, okay. I guess they didn't count Big Bird's brief cameo in that episode as part of his 'four episodes' this season.
I know someone mentioned that there was a lack of Oscar this season. (I'm too lazy to go back through the threads and read the post again.) I agree, it seems like Big...
I noticed Big Bird's appearance there, but by 'Birdberry,' I think he meant his cell-phone. (Blackberry reference, remember Oscar has a 'Blechberry.') Well, that was four episodes for our yellow feathery friend, I guess now he's going to be away for a while, probably going to vacation in the...
Welcome to the board, Bryan. Yeah, I know the feeling. You have to look at You Tube or at the Sesame Workshop site for the old clips since they hardly ever play them on today's SS. I've often thought maybe that's the reason that they don't play those old clips anymore. Just my thought on that.
I saw "Snuffle Sneeze" today, but I missed the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" ep, in fact I don't think they played it yet in my area. I might need to check my local listings on that.
I might as well check that out now since I can't wait that long. Lol. BTW, when is the next new ep scheduled for anyway? I checked the listings and it doesn't look like they're airing any new eps this week or next week, unless you count the 'repeats.'
Yeah. Big Bird should actually host the show rather than Murray. After all, wouldn't it make more sense to see a classic character get all that screen time rather than an obscure character? Murray would serve better as just a background monster.
Yeah. I thought of Tartiagala. If he were available maybe he could do Ernie's puppaterring and have Steve loop in he voice. Something to think about.
Yeah. They've mentioned Gordon's career as a science teacher quite a few times within the past couple seasons so theres a big plus. It is...
Yeah, I remember the Bert and Ernie birthday, episode that was from season 34 I believe.
Yeah. I said that. Glad someone agrees with me there. Lol.
As for recasting Ernie, I don't know. Sure that would be good if that would give him more airtime, but recall the Artie Esposito/Kermit on...
Yeah. I had BB in mind when they started looking for a bigger bird, but I guess if he had shown up that probably would have ruined his 'four episode' contract. Plus hopefully Elmo and Abby are smart enough to know that he's not a pigeon, though according to Oscar he is part 'homing pigeon.'...
I have to agree. I was hoping Bert, Elmo and Abby would have worked together on finding that pigeon. Instead of having the Muppet birds just tell Elmo and Abby what they were, Bert could have been around and told them and eventually got frustrated like he often does with Ernie. That would...
