When I think about it, I have to agree with a lot of the comments here. The Muppets haven't really seen the spotlight in quite a while. Heck, it was even Disney's decision to have an alternate performer for Kermit on "America's Got Talent" which didn't go over very well. We'll just have to...
Yeah. The one I grew up with was "Romper Room and Friends" with Miss Molly. I was sort of wondering about that. I might want to look up the info for that show. It may have just been on a local station in my area. There was also one called 'Hatchy Milatchy' which was on channel 16, my local...
Okay, I get it. Though I think calling Bret, Burt might more likely have been to make it rhyme with 'dirt.' I'm not sure how they got 'Hiram' out of 'Jermaine' though. I'm thinking another reason the names were changed might have been because of copyright issues.
early Snuffy appearances
I figured this would be a good thread to ask about this. Does anyone have the ending of Snuffy's debut episode? I saw the clip where BB and Snuffy first meet, but I've been looking for the ending where BB asks where he went and Snuffy answered "Well, I suppose so." I...
That's actually a good question. I don't know why they would name an AM Burt, when they already have a 'Bert' who would even have made an appearance if his scene hadn't been cut out. I suppose for the sake of rhyming they could have called him Curt or something, so maybe you're right about...
*sigh*
I guess that's the trouble with seeing those episodes so late in the season. Seems like people stop paying attention to this thread after a while. Oh, well. What can you do?
I was wondering about Pepe too. He has become one of the major Muppet stars since 'Muppets From Space' so I'm assuming he would be, but maybe you're right about this being a 'back to the beginning' thing. Though if that's the case, they ought to make a 'Sesame Street' movie without Elmo. Lol.
Yeah. I noticed that, but I can comment on 'Dirtballs' now since I've seen it for the first time today. Overall, I thought that was a good episode. Oscar plots are always good because it's a twist from the usual plot. Sort of like in animation and in movies when the villian tries to wreck...
I've been doing some research on that too. My sister actually just had a baby named Natasha. I believe I read it was in season 17 or 18. I'm not exactly sure when here debut episode was though.
Those are good thoughts, but I doubt it. If these problems could have been solved by magic, those stories show wouldn't really have had much of a plot. After all, Mumford was around back then and you didn't see him doing tricks like that.
Well, that's something to look forward to. Unfortunately, the new eps where I live air at 1pm and I should be on the road to Ohio, by that point. I'll have to look for that next time they air that episode.
Hmmmmm
No comments on "Fairy Tale Science Theater?" I realize that wasn't the greatest episode. But it had it's moments. It's always nice to see Telly as the "Monster on the Spot," though he wasn't in costume this time. Plus you can't go wrong with the Big Bad Wolf. Still not a lot of new...
Yeah. I liked the Super Grover segment. I thought the street story was really good too. It was nice that they referenced both 'A Cookie is a Sometime Food' and the public's concern about him becoming 'Veggie Monster.'
I thought I'd be the first to comment on the SuperFoods episode. I thought it was pretty good. It's always nice to see Grover/Super Grover in a street scene, though it would be nice to put Super Grover 2.0 on the street rather than just in that particular segment. I was a bit fooled because...
Yeah. It's probably a reference to the opening credits of TMS with all that crazy stuff happening whenever Gonzo blows the trumpet. I don't know if I want to purchase that one though. I may wait until they air that on TV, but that is something to look forward too.
