I just watched the Great Santa Claus Switch and noticed a couple of the songs aren't heard in the Christmas rotation. Is there any reason for that? Is it the quality of the source material or are they not stand-alone enough?
It's only the 24 episodes made available on iTunes under the "Sesame Street Classics" sets. So, if you can watch them all in a month, it's probably more cost effective to do it through the SesameGo service (plus, you can watch the modern stuff too if you're inclined), or you can own them all for...
I don't know if it'd be a DTV thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were. It would be nice to have a TV-aired special that isn't one of those prime-time "current American problem" ones (not that those are bad, but they're nowhere near the level others are).
So, I don't know if we had a thread for this already. But, the Workshop is planning a Cookie Monster-centric special for February 2015.
It was announced in the late Spring/Summer at a PBS conference and taped not long ago. I think it's a Valentine's special (I saw some sheet music while at SW...
Billy's Ernie was a little better in this episode (his singing not so much). Enjoyed the rest of the story, but it felt kind of short/rushed. A lot of the stories this season have seemed that way.

2. Stephanie joked about it.
3. Someone's office had a marker board with drawings of characters who no longer appear (4 or so of them), but I didn't see anything along the lines of what...
So, if anyone else is going to the event this Thursday, Eric Jacobson and writer Christine Ferraro were added to the roster. And SNL's Bobby Moyahan (if I'm spelling that right) is moderating. It's gonna be a good night!
(Copy-and-pasted from a post I made at the TP Forum)
So, because of the Ice Bucket Challenge thing with Cookie Monster, one of the people from Sesame Workshop's online department invited me to the offices today. Everyone who I was introduced to immediately made the connection as soon as...
I think Pepe's "womanizer" schtick has gotten old. His 1999-2003 stuff is gold and I wish he'd be more like that.
I also don't like that black outfit/chain necklace look for him. I miss his sweaters.
Hate to double post, but I caught the new ETM this morning. Pretty good, if not a tad song heavy (that Bounce song could've been cut). I really enjoyed the "Mamma Mia" song though; clearly an ABBA riff. And one odd thing: they got Ryan to sing the "curtain call" ending, but used audio of Kevin...
