Now that I think of it, you know what I find a tad . . . intriguing? The character designs in the Shrek movies have a much more realistic and Uncanny Valley look to them (especially humans), yet in almost all other DreamWorks movies, the character designs are much more stylized, and look more...
There's all these edited versions of BEE MOVIE on YouTube, such as one where the movie doubles in speed every time the word "bee" is said, or one that eliminates all scenes with bees. Strange.
Boy, oh boy, does Caroll hate Barney. I remember in his book and various interviews, he won't even mention him by name, just as, "a certain purple dinosaur."
One last ditch request. I mean, I could do it myself with my VHS copy, but it's so old and worn out that the audio quality is really hissy and poor, which is why I'm asking here if anybody has a better quality copy or even the DVD version of it.
Well, apparently Ice Age 5 did well enough that they're considering a sixth movie to wrap-up the series (but then again, that's what they said about number five).
The thing about Shrek is the last one was specifically meant to finally draw the series to a conclusion, it was even called SHREK...
True, and for what it's worth, FINDING DORY was surprisingly pretty good - I expected to be disappointed, but I really wasn't.
Now . . . somebody remind me again why we need a new Shrek movie in 2019?
Sequelitis today is bad enough, but it's even worse when it affects movies that came out ten or more years ago. Heck, I can actually remember when the first one came out, and it was like the SAUSAGE PARTY affect: people assumed it would be a fun little family movie, then to see the actual...
I always thought a blizzard was high winds blowing blinding, horizontal snow reaching inches and inches . . . but, to see it from New Yorkers on YouTube, apparently a blizzard is . . . really no different from just a snowfall down here.
There's still an occasional troll out there from time to time who will try to bring it back to people's attention, which is why I said it still won't quite refuse to die. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly nowhere near as problematic as it was there for a while, but it's still out there in some...
I also forgot to mention that this was perhaps Eric's greatest performance as Grover yet, he's grown so much into the character that there's hardly any noticeable difference between his and Frank's Grover. His Bert has definitely grown as well.
Structurally, I felt the special was a tad clumsy at times, particularly in the beginning, but it seemed to pick up as the story progressed. And it was an interesting angle that Elmo's Daddy took in making up the story as he went along, rather than this being another flashback of what really...
Funnily enough, one of the daytime talk shows had a reunion with some of the Brady cast just this past year, and I remember either Barry Williams or Christopher Knight saying the first time they saw Florence on the set, his initial reaction was, "Whoa! My TV mom is hot!"
Florence Henderson also made a guest appearance on a rare example of 70s cheese and cracker, when played a proper English woman who was the object of an Arab Paul Lynde's desire, and later she belted out a disco-flavored rendition of Frank Sinatra's "That Ol' Black Magic" in THE PAUL LYNDE...
Must be a tradition. When we used to have Boomsday celebration over here, the fireworks show always ended the same way with the same pyrotechnics.
Then again, look at the Muppets themselves: for a while there, Piggy singing "Santa Baby" was becoming her annual thing.
