    The New New Quote Thread

"This house is so full of people, it makes me sick! When I grow up and get married, I'm living alone! Did you hear me? I'm living alone! I'm living alone!" ~ Kevin McAllister

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

I just figured out the running gag from the Johnny Bravo Christmas special of Johnny repeatedly calling the pilot "Shirley" is a refernece to the movie AIRPLANE! ". . . and don't call me 'Shirley'."

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

Seems like I remember use tearing this one to shreds here on MC in years past.

    Joey Mazzarino leaving Sesame Street

The fact that they're looking into ways to continue to utilize them in some way or form seems like it should be sufficient enough for closure, to me.

    MeTV Article about Emmet Otter

MeTV wrote up a brief little article about Emmet Otter for their Christmas e-newsletter today, in case anyone would like to take a brief gander at it: http://metv.com/stories/lets-not-forget-about-emmet-otters-jug-band-christmas

    Courage the Cowardly Dog returning?

Dilly posted his original pitch for Courage on YouTube! I . . . can't imagine they would buy the show based on this . . . and they apparently didn't (the only response he got from them on this was "it didn't suck"). But somehow, the Jackie Mason-inspired voice Dilly gave Courage was amusing...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

Okay, here's something weird: videos are taking a long time to load/buffer again, but here's the thing - it only happens when I'm logged in. If I'm not logged in, the videos load and buffer fine, but when I'm logged into my account, it takes several seconds for the video to start loading.

    Joey Mazzarino leaving Sesame Street

Don't you know it's hard for people to let it go around here? Remember how long people still kept talking about Kevin's unfortunate situation after it had happened?

    Marilyn Sokol appreciation thread

As far as her voice goes, one my favorite songs is her belting out "I Want a Monster to be my Friend."

    Favorite Seinfeld moments?

I am honestly very, very surprised about that at this point. I mean, is there really a marketable demographic out there for movies that date all the way back to the early days of cinema? Don't get me wrong, there's a number of old movies that I appreciate: THE WIZARD OF OZ, THE BIRDMAN OF...

She was also Aunt May at Camp Echo Rock, who could never get that blasted whistle to work.

    Favorite Seinfeld moments?

After all these years, TBS is finally giving SEINFELD the ax. I guess the writing was on the wall - for a while now, they've replaced it on Mondays with marathons of Seth MacFarlane shows, and otherwise would preempt some of it on other nights with THE BIG DANG THEORY or 2 BROKE GIRLS. TBS also...

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Oh yes, I remember how some people around here actually got a little butthurt about the review, because they felt it was too cynical and mean-spirited . . . never mind the fact that Tough Pigs is specifically from adult fans' perspectives anyway, lol.

Sesame Street Season 47 begins shooting, HBO premiere set for January 2017

Because TV networks have always had a history of broadcasting episodes out of order - even cable, so this isn't anything out of the ordinary.

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Well, it was one of those episodes that Nick had a tendancy to skip over in reruns and play it only for special occasions (like, I dunno . . . Christmas, lol), so it is somewhat rare. But then again, when you think about it, certain channels will skip over holiday episodes of shows and save them...

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Well, I decided to sort of indulge in something of a Christmas marathon myself today before I have to get into some serious holiday baking tonight, so I playing Christmas episodes of various different shows today: THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW - "The Christmas Story" BEWITCHED - "A Vision of Sugar...

The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

Ahahaha! Yeah, just about all the girls were chasing him in school - particularly every year on Valentine's Day, he'd get mobbed with giant stuffed animals and giant boxes of chocolates - sounds like they're still chasing him after all these years, lol.
