In other words, another one of those kid's movies. It would come off as a sweet little film if they didn't have to do the obviously tacked on "kids like a the potty" jokes. I'm sure it's better than the standard kid's movie. Paddington at least looks like some decent CGI, compared to others...
DERP! I completely forgot to add this...
Anyone else wind up having to sit through the Paddington Bear movie trailer? Anyone else think it looked like garbage? Considering who's releasing it (TWC), I'm not surprised by it's suckiness. Really?!?! Shoves his head into a toilet?
On the plus...
Hmmm... actually, now that I think about it, in a society that's male gender neutral, their only knowledge of what females are comes from the humans. So I guess they're just doing what they know from them.
Still, weird little unintended contradiction. Smurfette only exists, by all means, as a...
Someone has to have pointed this out somewhere, but it just hit me...
Smurfs don't reproduce errrr... they don't reproduce that way. In their respective fiction, they're brought by storks, or made via magic clay (what Gargamel did). It's pretty obvious, as they have no women in their ranks...
Wouldn't say it was underrated, as everyone seems to rip that plotline off.
Crisscross!
You know what? I was actually at that exact mall the day they were shooting it (unfortunately, an interior scene shot in an abandoned store so you couldn't see anything), and I just missed Kevin...
Yeah. They say that Oogieloves isn't even so bad it's good. A review I once saw said they tried to watch it ironically, like they'd get a few laughs out of it, but it was just too terrible even for that.
Meanwhile, on the outside Champion does look awful, but if the stories about the director...
Really hope this movie gets on Netflix... or at least illegally uploaded to Youtube. I want to see this trainwreck, but I don't want to blow money on it. Cuz, chances are, I won't make it through 5 minutes.
I really don't get it either. I sometimes think those are just so some kid playing it will accidentally hit "buy" on the premium currency and the charges will be buried deep in the phone bill. Yeah, 10 bucks per person for a movie is somehow outrageous, but 10 bucks per play to keep playing...
Seriously?! I know movie theaters are pricing themselves out of the business, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm sure that the average "I don't wanna blow 10 bucks per person so I'll wait for the download"-er will have spent twice that getting the super shiny maguffin in some terrible app...
It's funny actually. They dumped those skit to skit connections early on in the show (barring ones in later episodes that have something to do with the plot), and then they brought them back via the Murray tune ins.
Still, that's one of the old things I'm glad they've done away with in the...
Anyone else catch the brief Jungle Book cameos in that one?
The Buzzards, seen from the back, were in the desert, and King Louie chasing Mickey and the Elephant in the scooter (I forget the specific name of those things).
You'll probably see them in stores closer to Christmas, like Chia products usually do.
So who's going to make the obligatory reference to a "boffo socko script?"
Awful news, but Ponies and the new Transformers cartoon seem to be safe. I'm pretty sure Discovery's original programming will be an even worse fit that no one will watch. It's just hilarious (or pathetic...or both) that we have 3 main "children's" channels. Even ESPN has more channels than...
There's a surprising amount of character development late first season to second season. Turns out the Dicksons actually like Sanjay and Craig and don't have any friends. Even Hugglebunny's got a back story where he used to talk. I'm starting to think the grossout humor is an intended front.
The only reason Reality TV hasn't run its course (even though it totally did) is because of the cheapness and ironic viewers that keep tuning in. Survivor and Big Brother are too big of staples to put out of their misery, I'm shocked American Idol actually gained ratings last season. There are...
Personally, I like how this series actually manages to out dark the 2K3 show. Even the wackier episodes like the one with Pizzaface have some pretty disturbing elements to them.
I'm glad they're incorporating the exodus to the family farm. That's a very significant, recurring theme in TMNT...
Okay... someone had to have seen last night's season finale.
Gilbert Godfrey Kraangs? The Kraang horribly Cronenberging New York? Leatherhead getting in a brawl with Shredder and losing?
And the whole thing ends with their version of the North Hampton Farm arc, complete with Leonardo being...
Obviously.
But I'm still surprised Disney greenlit an episode that not only implies that a grown man was in love with a simulation, but said simulation is a teenager. Not to mention the really subtle hints at Tentacle Hentai (i.e. one of the options was "Oh, look! A Squid"). Seems the only...
