I wish Phil would make mention on the main site about the minis...these are simply AWESOME...they look sooo much better(no offense) than the 5-6" line. I mean Bunsen, wow...and Doglion! Everyone shoul dget at least one, an dlet Palisades know WE WANT, no DEMAND Electric Mayhem mini set this holiday!
Well Kevin, don't rule out a special Muppet day/weekend at a Disney theme park...be it DL, CDA or WDW. It'll be a chance for Mupept fans all over to come together, as a sort of pseudo MuppetFest. Sure, there may be some fist fights, some harsh words to Eisner, and mixed feelings...but it'd be...
Theyd be on the discount rack in one month for 50% off, I guarantee. Thats what happens to all Muppet merch. Why don't they make less quantities?
Im all for gobs and gobs of Muppet/Sesame/FR stuff, but if a company feels they are losing money it is because they need to realize Muppet fans are...
Arguing over that old playset? I don't care if it was free, that Muppet Labs set plain sucks. I only got it for the Beaker. If I could sell most of my Muppet 5-6" figure collection for whatever price I would, as Im moving and dont have room...and prefer the minis much more.
And c'mon folks...
Whoah, so it is true then? Man I wish there was footage of this...thanks for the heads up. So weird, and here we thought Star Wars had come to the Muppet Show set, not the other way around!
Cant wait to get this tuesday...even if Lucas royally ruined the trilogy.
By cameos I meant obscure Muppet cameos: JHH, TMS, etc.
I saw ya post in another thread, it's very good to see the person who bought the EM bus on here:) So yes, welcome to Muppet Central. I think weve seen that ebay auction come up from time to time since 1998, good to see someone finally...
who knows *how* many in house prototypes, 'just for fun or dream sake' have been made at Palisades. Anyone care to guess?
Why can't Palisades do the Muppet Mini treatment with Fraggle Rock?
Again...there is a parralel universe out there...one where JHC owns the Muppets and didnt sell out to the Diz...one where an edgy Fox prime time Muppet show is on the air or soon to be on the air, and the Mupepts aren't going back to classic fairy tale retellings. Smells like early 90's poo to...
There is this very interesting and avant garde puppet troupe here in San Francisco. Whereas Avenue Q is the hip metropolitain answer to Sesame Street, Shadow Circus is the gothic art crowd answer to Dark Crystal and The Land of Gorch. At clubs I go to, I would often see these performers walking...
I said it in 2001, and I shall say it again...the Muppet playsets were a disaster in the making. I still believe Palisades would have made so much more money had they had an individually carded Beaker...I mean let's face it, that Muppet Labs playset based on the Muppet Vision 3D labs was ugly...
Well speaking of nods to us die hards, without starting a new thread on the subject...do ya think we will see a lot of nods to longtime/hardcore Muppet fans? And what stuff would ya like to see? Two words for me: Obscure Cameos. Digit anyone?
Well, given Elmo In Grouchland, Muppets In Space, etc all partially took place in the real world...I don't see why they have to wait til Oz to put Muppets in it.
