    Marley & Marley Christmas Menu

What would Christmas be without Muppet penguins?

    Marley & Marley Christmas Menu

Thanx. Yeah, we tried different ways to brighten it up, but we went the classic rout. Your comments will effect next year's version of these menus. Who said there where skating penguins? ;)

    Favorite Palisades PVC

Hat Sharpener All of the PVCs listed in the pole will come together in a set. It's the only way they could make the obscure ones. That was some of the thought behind starting the PVC line. I forgot what the price will be. Something like twenty bucks? I don't know. They are likely worth it...

    Ask Ken at Palisades

That makes some sense, I guess. Why would they only ship Floyd's though? My main local EB (the one that was very unhelpful during series one) has dropped all actionfigures from their stock. Strange. Remember the bets about the most and least popular of series two? Thought it would be fun...

    Ask Ken at Palisades

My feeling is that he was covering up another employee's butt. I doubt Palisades would send them out that way and Ken would have probably said something on that issue. Someone probably took home the other characters or they went to special order clients (it happens with longime customers)...

    Animal Playset

I received my Animal playset right after returning from my holiday in Houston. Here are my thoughts: Packaging: ****1/2 Love the red and yellow, but I can't wait until Palisades changes the packaging with series 4 or 5. I'm ready for something new. The set is packed really tight so the...

    Ask Ken at Palisades

Animal rocks. Got him yesterday. Going to write a review in another thread. The pics were good, but they still didn't do this piece justice. Wow!

Lets get IAVMMCM out on DVD!

I believe the special was shot in 1.78.1. It's really apparent when they zoom out of Whoopi's widescreen monitor. I'm not saying we've missed that much, but the crowd scenes would be more enjoyable. I believe most every project these days is shot for the transition to widescreen later (without...

Your Thoughts: It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas

Oh, I meant his voice. I loved the propecia joke. And it was just that - a joke. So, I would bet he won't be having that mop on his head in the future. I laughed so hard I cried when I saw that! And they kept cutting back to him too. It made me nuts!

Your Thoughts: It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas

All that says is you have some things in common with several of our members. We are a diverse group here at Muppet Central and we welcome everybody. As for Eric doing a bad job. Well, I just can't agree with you on that point. LOL! I think he's fantastic and his Fozzie impressed me too. Yes...

Your Thoughts: It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas

petrieboy There's more to a performance than just the performance, Mannerisms, chemistry and spontaneity has much to do with it as well. Dubbing performances may make the voice sound closer, but it takes much of the spark out of a performance. See Fozzie and Piggy's scenes from Muppets Tonight...

    Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie

Luke Yeah, they certainly wouldn't want to turn off too many families. I have always been unfomfortable labeling the Muppet Show characters as "Family Entertainment" even though JHC has pegged them that way for the last decade or so. I just see them as entertainment. I wouldn't want the...

Your Thoughts: It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas

I agree that it seems Oz lost his passion for the Muppets after Jim died. You can see it in how he withdrew from productions and how his characters were often dubbed. Voice replacement does take a lot of the spirit out of a performance. Plus, you're right. His voice was getting a lot deeper...

    Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie

I've just seen it a third time and I have no clue what the big deal really is. The one thing I know is that this is a fan forum and for better or worse everyone's opinion is valid because we are all fans. We are the people who have put so much time, effort and money into the Muppet Show...

    Palisades on the Today Show!

I'm sure they'll show the toys. That's what they always do in spots like that. I wonder if they'll show any new stuff? Congradulations Palisades!!!

Your Thoughts: It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas

Zack I don't really know how long it takes to make a DVD. I know that designing and testing the interactive menus can take some time and so do the extras. And then every piece has to be approved. It's a longer proccess than a tape. It will probably come out next fall (if I'm guessing right)...

Lets get IAVMMCM out on DVD!

uncleduke I don't think that's true. The movie was shot in the same format as Kermit Swamp Years. Hi Def Widescreen Video. There are several shots you can tell. Actually, no new projects by the networks (especially NBC) are shot in the 1:33 ratio anymore. They want to be able to have the...

Your Thoughts: It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas

The commercial said it was available on VHS and is packaged with the new Muppet Show CD. There is no DVD available at this time. The only reason I can think of is that it's more difficult to make a DVD with the extras, interactive menus and all. Plus some portions seem to have been edited at the...
