Macromedia's Dreamweaver comibined with a good basic book on HTML would be a great place to start learning the web basics. Once you have done that then you can explore Macromedia Flash and other interesting things. It's really not that hard. File size compression and working out the best design...
Unforutnaltely, a Fraggle menu is not planned for this year, but Fraggle Rock has a small part to play in one of the three remaining menus. Wembley was included in the first menu in the series (Muppet Family Christmas). They were in the original plans, but were cut due to time constraints. I'm...
Hmmm. I don't know how Christmasy Rave Scooter would be, but he'd get my vote! Maybe Rave Sam if we made the glo-sticks red and green. LOL! Great ideas. I have the feeling Ken would love to make a Bouncer Beaker and Soul Patch Bunsen.
Karen-
Glad you got to see the menu! Did you catch the...
I getcha. I still think it made more than respectable numbers. NBC just didn't put their full support behind it like I thought they would. They keep pounding us over the head with their other Christmas fare in their "12 Days of Chrismas", but didn't do the same for this special. I only saw the...
I'm tired of Musicland/Sam Goody. They were extremely rude to me on the phone the last time I checked in with them. They didn't seem to know when the figures would come in because they don't place the orders, but in past weeks they have assured me that they are coming soon. They have now done a...
Thanx for reporting this, Jess. I've seen it too. Hypnotic! I have all the discs but still watched the entire commercial. Fun stuff. :) Makes me really want a Vets Hospital Playset.
You're not missing much. The little I've heard is cute and fun, but totally forgetable. (Hopes there are no DC fans around) If I'm going to listen to kitchy stuff like that - gimme Dolly Parton or Reba. I'm not much of a country fan, but if I ever listen to it I go for the stuff that will endure.
Wakko Rules!
I enjoyed the first couple seasons of the show, but my enterest waned after that. It's hard to keep interest when a show runs every weekday because we see so many reruns. But it was a very sharply written show. I actually thought the writing blew the pants off the Simpsons. The...
Dixie Chicks (not so) special
I agree with you. It was definitely promoted, but they could have done so much more. They have been promoting the friggin Dixie Chicks for weeks now. Are they really that popular? I don't know anyone who listens to them myself, and I have friends in New York...
Who is your source at the local NBC affiliate? Employees often have a much different take on the state of affairs than the brass does. NBC has aired Muppet programs before and knows what kind of ratings to expect. These weren't bad at all. The figures were not disappointing by anyone's...
Yeah, they probably only had the budget to pay for a few of the songs. They probably found 12 Days. Silent Night and Deck the Halls more traditional than St Nick and Merry Little Christmas. Since the Muppet Show and this special aired, licensing fees have become much more expensive. That's why...
It's probably another case of Grinchy licensors. And this is Christmas music for Pete's sake. I am sure those receiving money for the songs didn't even write them. Those are a couple of songs not written by John, right?
Glad you are liking these. The new one should be up this weekend! :) Classic and fun is how I would describe it. There officially will be 6 menus in all. I really enjoy doing something different with each one.
Well, Jack and the Beanstalk got a lot more publicity and advertising than this special did. It was promoted significanlty less than that week's Law and Order ep - and I do most of my work at home, so I catch a lot of TV. :) Nonetheless, I still think it had a respectable amount of o promoton.
