Did anyone else watch Muppet Babies?

Forgot he did both characters. I feel that I didn't explain my thoughts on the Muppet Babies enough until now. There are few things in this world that I 100% do not like (Robert Downey Jr in anything, complaint rock, fast food and preempting shows to broadcast baseball games etc). The Muppet...

Should I Watch "Kermit's Swamp Years?"

I love 80s music and 80s movies. Some of my all-time faves. It didn't all have to be about whining (like the 90s+). It was about having fun. :)

So much for the Muppet special being "successful"

Dead horse. It's dust by now.

Did anyone else watch Muppet Babies?

Issues I had with the animation: *It was stiff and choppy (not fluid like other low budget animated programs). Muppet Babies should have more bounce to them, but seemed like cardboard cut-outs to me. Many shows still have that sort of shabby animation drawn in some third-world country. I...

To build? Or not to build? That is the question.

I'm guessing it would be a lot more. Several hundred to a thousand. Spot-on materials won't come cheap and the eye mechanism itself could prove to be an expensive creation. I want one too, but I'll wait until the day I'm really really rich and commission them all (from an independant puppet...

Happy New Year at Muppet Central!

The Muppet Central 5th anniversary menu will be later this month. After that it's Valentine's and so on. I have them mapped out somewhere.

Luke's Muppet Year In Review 2002

I like Cliff's notes. That Cliff is one smart guy. :D

Happy New Year at Muppet Central!

That's sweet. Thanx, Kev and everybody. There will be quite a few menus to come. I really like the fact that the menus changed a lot during the winter months. About 45 days worth of (8) seasonal menus. Maybe we'll have to make up new holidays! LOL!

The sad state of Muppet Movies since Jim Henson's death

Re: No more LOL You crack me up. Hit the nail on the head with that comment! ****!!! I do think that Steve does a good job. There are moments when Kermit falls out of character, but I have grown accustomed to the new Kermit. You don't like Caper? Hmmm. I guess it's a love-it or...

Luke's Muppet Year In Review 2002

Great, comprehensive list. I would have forgotten to include so much stuff. You did leave us (MC) out in September, but we are a blip on the radar when compared to the rest of the stuff. Good job. :)

    Ask Ken at Palisades

What you guys are forgetting is how small Rizzo is and how tiny these accessories will be. That's where the QC comes in. If the parts are too tiny then the age group goes up and retailers drop the line. It's not my favorite accessory, but it doesn't affect my feeling about Rizzo.

Should I Watch "Kermit's Swamp Years?"

Spongebob has fluid animation, consistency of character shape and good artists working on it. Funny writers too, but we've already had that discussion. The point is - they could have done better at the time that Muppet Babies was made, but went the cheap rout. Any animator will cite the...

    Happy New Year To All!!!

Cory Life is what you make of it. "Life's like a movie, write your own ending..." Geez, you should know that! :) Unless someone has passed or got dismembered I don't understand the boo-hooing. It's the beginning of a new year in the realm of possibility through the river going to Muppet land in...

Did anyone else watch Muppet Babies?

Muppet Babies had terrible animation. Balk, balk, balk. (I sound like Camilla) LOL! :) I feel that they could have achieved smoother animation had they pasted the characters on Popsicle sticks and moved them around. I wish it had been a higher grade animation or had been done with puppets. After...

Should I Watch "Kermit's Swamp Years?"

I enjoy quality over nostalgia. The Muppet Babies was not a quality production. Good ideas and writing, but the execution stunk. The plain simple fact is it was low-grade animation. Nostalgia can't change the fact that an episode of Rubik the Amazing Cube had the same poor quality. That has...

    Tough Pigs 2027

DVD Rom's kick butt. That provides almost 50% of my graphics, although they are altered quite a bit. Just looked like the brief phase where I oversaturated many of my graphics. Had to adjust my LCD screen. I love that pose with Pepe. Lots of attitude.

What size are the busts? (heh-heh.....)

Ahh...I get ya. The Rowlf one really is the one to get so far (and maybe in the entire series). This is the best Rowlf likeness ever made (and probably the best that ever will be made). It looks like Kermit, Rowlf, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and maybe Scooter are the five busts to get. The rest don't...

Happy New Year at Muppet Central!

Ick! Yeah, that was a bad 80s trend. The ugly big hair perm! I lived in Houston at the time - the hair was even bigger. Be afraid - be very afraid! To me, her classic straight hair with a bit of curl in it has transcended the test of time. I hated that ugly perm the first time I saw it...
