Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4722 - Rocking Rollie

It was interesting to see Wolfgang, ugh, I mean Rollie again (for the first time?) today. . . . Nice little touch of mild slapstick with Chris repeatedly being sprayed no matter where he was standing. I'll give Jen this, she's improving somewhat with Zoe's inflections and mannerisms, but the...

The "I Did Something Stupid Today" Thread

It's ironic, because there was a period of time when Facebook gave me a number of Muppet/Henson people as friend suggestions, including but not limited to John Kennedy, Tyler Bunch, even Tau Bennett . . . and Jim Martin. And again, these were all based on mutual friends, so I figured there...

Are the Muppets as popular as they were 30 to 40 years ago?

I kind of think Frank Oz has a point though when he said the Muppets (or "Muppets") have become something like "Kleenex" in that whenever you see film/television style puppets on a screen, many people just automatically regard them as Muppets, whether they're actually Muppet characters or not ...

The "I Did Something Stupid Today" Thread

Oh boy, did I do something stupid today. . . . So, with a majority of the country raging about "this is fake news," and "that is fake news," and what have you, I thought about how much Gary Gnu's saying of, "No g'news is good g'news," rings so true even today . . . so saying, I tried my hand a...

The New Am I The Only One Thread

Really, one of the reasons the FIM version is so popular is because it was created by the wife of the creator of Powerpuff Girls.

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Now that Season 20 has concluded, here are my final thoughts for this milestone season: The first half that aired back in the fall was so-so . . . not great, but somewhat of an improvement over the last couple of seasons; the second half, on the other hand, fell flatter than a ruined souffle...

The New Am I The Only One Thread

Reboots, remakes, and rehashes in general are just so stale and passe by this point (well, actually, they have been for years), but if they at least recapture the spirit of the original source material, I'll at least give it a chance; ALVINNN!!! AND THE CHIPMUNKS is far superior to those awful...

Ask A Pig All the Questions

Not only that, there's also a Halloween song about piggies (as well as mice and demons):

Twelve Year-Old Ventriloquist Darci Lynne on America's Got Talent

This girl could very well be the next Shari Lewis: Always nice to see the younger generation take an interest in puppetry like this.

Now what's going on with YouTube?

The infamous blooper reel from Emmet Otter on JHC's channel has been nuked for copyright by a church, for whatever reason. I guess because at one point, Frank has Ma exclaim, "Sweet Jesus!"

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Well. . . . In the birthday special/movie, it seemed clear the underlying seemed to be that Arthur and D.W. both learn to really appreciate one another for all of their sibling disputes and squabbles: Arthur gets a taste of his own medicine when his now older sister "Dora" constantly pushes him...

    The breakfast cereal thread

OH MY COW!!! https://www.popsugar.com/food/Where-Can-You-Buy-Oreo-O-43589573 I'm crying.

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Actually, I found the B-plot with Arthur's dream sequence of being transported four years into the future a lot stronger and more engaging than the A-plot of D.W.'s fantasy island.

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Oh boy, we got this season's "Disease of the Week" episode today. Are you ready for this? Drum roll, please. . . . *A drum rolls out the door over 200 times* Ratburn is losing his hearing. How non-shocking! And why is he losing his hearing? Because he and a couple of other teachers from...

    Animaniacs reboot in the works

Same with ALVINNN - obviously TV CGI series do improve over time. But really, for me, it's more the overall look and design of the Nick TMNT that just doesn't appeal to me; Splinter in particular isn't easy to look at.
