I don't think you'll get much for selling the stage without the figure. It's kind of a package deal since there's no carded Animal (until Tour Animal comes out as an exclusive).
The Swedish Chef's kitchen is the best set so far. I'd invest in that one and get the more rare Tour Animal later...
Sesame is a different property owned by a different company and is much a hotter property than the Muppet Show brand these days. Thought that part was self-explanatory - you don't see any Chicken Dance Fozzies out there do ya? LOL! I shudder at the thought. Anyway, Sesame is really big business...

Where are you getting this info that series 3 hasn't been released yet? Maybe the online store you've been looking at is slow to get them, but EB Games has been shipping them out for a few weeks.
For official information, go to www.palisadestoys.com or check their message board...
Hmm, Chinese toystore owner, Chinese factory manufacturing the sets...sounds like somebody snaked a few. Who knows, they could have been authorized. Just very weird. But they still haven't hit the main markets from what the company tells us - probably that one store.
Luke-
Yeah, you know...
Are you sure it's not a prototype? They auction them off at the Toy Fairs sometimes. I'll check with Ken. Maybe there was a different QC issue with US and other markets but I doubt it. That's just strange. :concern:
I did it too. I would have voted higher for the Kermit sculpt, but I don't like the clothes he's wearing. What skater wears flower prints? The artist seems to be out of touch. Gonzo seems like the best one to me, but I guess we have been spoiled by busts and figures. :concern:
I wrote in...
Ernie. I just love the guy. He's kind of like me - messy and he does what he wants.
I also like Oscar. He always cracked me up as a kid. He's also very expressive
Herry and Cookie were special characters to me as well, but not as much as the rest.
My fave new character would have to be...
Really? I don't see how you could have the Chef's Kitchen playset because it reportedly hasn't left China yet. The info comes from today's Daily Bit from Prodcuct Developer Ken Lilly of Palisades (the company that makes the figures): click here. I don't see how you could already have the Chef...
I'm tired of this too. I'm really thinking that Disney needs to buy them now. I mean, it'll eventually happen. I know Disney will make some cringeworthy choices, but who's to say that anyone else would do that much better. The Henson marketing dept hasn't been too sharp recently. I'm ready for...
Fraggles did not gain enough retail interest and SS may be a possibility down the line. That's pretty much how it went. I think the Muppets have to gain momentum before they consider a SS line. It would probably be more expensive too.
Off the subject - what is it with Kermit Green? He seamed more "pea soup" colored in TMM and GMC but now he seems more of a dark green and his skin looks smoother. :) :o
I pointed this out on the old MC. I think that Fozzie started out the Muppet Show with a pear shaped head, then it got rather round toward the 4th and 5th seasons. It then slowly became more and more pear shaped until MTI when it was really severe. I treally think MTI Fozzie's head looked funky...
I don't think there's a big problem with the repaints, just that some people have been taking advantage of it. Hard core collectors will be able to find these jems while the rest of us might go withoug. The point is - anyone can order a repaint from EB, but you can only order one. That means...

I have mentioned a few times that Scooter seems big only compared to Kermit. But I still feel he's in scale. There aren't many pictures with Scooter and Kermit standing next to each other from head to toe. It's just weird when you actually see it. If anything Kermit might be a...
I don't see doom for the Muppet line as you have suggested. It is critically popular successful with the niche market. I know they are picking up more stores over here too. I think your statement goes to an extreme.
However, there's a TRU mentality in the US - if it's not a hot property (a...
The Muppet figures are in a limited release. That's why Palisades can't drop the price; otherwise they would make zero profit on figure sales. And the company is in the business to make money. Simpsons products saturate the market and people can't seem to get enough, while the Muppets are more...
