This looks like a hoax. This looks like the sort of "Muppet-esque" puppet you see churches use, though bearing NONE of the signature quality mid 1980's NYC Muppet/Sesame productions would use. Even for charity.
The year is totally wrong, 1978? The earliest this could be is 1984.
Perhaps Jim...
Is it me or is issue 4 sold out everywhere? Every place that carries the series in my area sold out by the next day. Usually that'd bug me...but it's actually kind of cool to see interest in this.
It's definitely(IMHO)the Muppet Movie and that that captures the very heart, magic and soul of Jim Henson's shining moment with the Muppets.
Though...for some reason I have this love affair with 1986-1989(and early 1990) era Muppets...particularly Jim Henson Hour, Muppet Family Christmas...
It's more of an endurance test.
They now mostly go for two things, beyond the "insert random 80's pop culture reference" cliche.
1. Shock(hardcore racist joke, taboo or sickening sexual reference, and then abuse jokes)
2. See how long the audience can handle the length of a segment's...
Haha, that's simply magical :D
Yep, pretty much. (Notice when Kermit when interviewed simply considers the tv shows and movies as an acting job)
Quick question: Given Pepe isnt in this series, does this take place in the 1970's? Allusions to modern stuff would point to a definitive no...but...
Bro, as someone who has been an ardent Jim Henson/Muppet/Sesame fan for over 30 years...I can tell ya that you are VERY right.
I should back up and say I don't mean "canon" per se...but, Muppet Universe(proper) Let me explain.
It's my belief that the Muppets are simply actors. When you...
That seems to be the case that I and a lot of people Ive seen online have experienced. Again, I say no fault of any of the wonderful volunteer programs. I actually want to start volunteering just because(most likely revolving around food for the needy programs) But early on I noticed there didnt...
Skeeter was featured in stuff other than Muppet Babies/Muppet Teen books/cartoon?
It's funny, since 1998 on here there was always this "is Skeeter canon or not" debate, people debating whether Skeeter should exist in proper canon. I always thought that while Muppet Babies is not canon, that...

Haha, niiice. I actually missed it...just glanced and didn't notice. Man, I didn't think she'd ever be considered in proper canon! Trippy. (They refuse to use Pepe or modern Muppets in the comic pages)...
Worse than extreme physical and sexual abuse? Maybe I've become a party pooper, but I am genuinely horrified at a lot of the material on the show.
The Statler/Waldorf thing was surprisingly innocent though. I don't think this is a show that should be seen by minors though.
Oh I love when he "eats" other characters. But bludgeoning them...just seems a bit brutal. (In the Sex and violence pilot, there's a skit where a Muppet creature appears to beat the other one to death)
But yeah, I couldnt be more pleased if they came out with Carl figures, figurines...
I was registered to volunteer but as soon as the announcement of "one million" came around, that portion became greyed out.
I don't get it, arent these things suppose to be year round? Its not like Disney cant afford these things. I doubt more than half the people will even use their free...
Well the remakes/reboots have gotten out of hand. They rebooted and remade The Hulk just 5 years after the last one. Theyre rebooting Spiderman soon. So crazy. And the remakes of older stuff...to paraphrase Sam the Eagle "Is NOTHING Sacred?"
Tho the give away clue to this Tough Pigs article...
I happened to catch part of tonight's Family Guy, with the Statler Waldorf sketch.
I cant recommend the show tho...its just gotten so increasingly extreme and ugly(cant believe its only "TV 14") Im far from some fuddy duddy person, and love avant garde humor. But the show just goes way out of...
