Those the figurine sets at Disneystore? I thought theres usually a good 7-8 per set? Thankfully they brought the price down from 16 to 12 to now 8 bucks for most those sets. (They had a pretty good BITBBH one a few years back)
And yay for anything Bean Bunny!
WOW. 30 seconds, but oh such a glorious 30 seconds.
"Mu---" , haha. Well, anything Henson puppet related to me will always be Muppets.
Just found it! ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hWD--iJ0wg for those wondering)
haha, crazy stuff.
Man I didnt know Joe the Armadillo swung that way;)
Just as much as weird al: Robin Williams:)
Robin Williams was a reoccuring character on Sesame during the 80's and 90's, was *spose* to be(but never was) a guest on The Muppet Show, and was on the cover of two Muppet Magazine issues.
...but never officially worked with the main Muppet...
Oh man, did you actually see the Dark Crystal art?
You seriously don't like this?

I get tired of the uniform...
Heh, very cool...I love the mix of indie hipster comic store decorem and Uncle Matt doing what he does best amidst the silly creatures.
But my goodness, THIS cover...wow...

I hate to say it, but this has me more excited then any of the current Muppet titles out:)
You must not be accustomed to UK magazines(they had an AMAZING TMNT one 2003-2006) or Japanese movie programs then:)
Drtooth was mentioning movie trends, and it occurred to me just HOW many teen fantasy movies riding on the coattails of Harry Potter and LOTR there has been in recent years.
The Seeker, Chronicles of Narnia, Narnia 2 Prince Caspian, Spiderwick Chronicles, The Golden Compass, Zathura, Percy...
Thanks for the list! I had no idea *that* many Muppet titles have come around in just a year.
I think it should be a required law that all Muppet and Boom Kids comics be drawn by cute nerdy art girls!
Hasbro is taking over from Fisher Price? THANK GOODNESS.
They've destroyed the Sesame brand name for wayyy too long(Heck Tyco was way better in the late 1990's by a long shot)
kids today are so freaking spoiled. AND they have bad tastes. I mean half the toy shelves are bakugan. what the heck is that?
tasteless. And yeah, kids have their yuppy parents cave in to their whining to buy em all this garbage and they dont play em that long. in the early, mid to late...
Bottom line, like last year there really wasnt anything shown of much interest. We already know about the flat disney plush, which are awesome possum. But thats it. Those new FR plushes pale compared to the sababa 2003 ones. And Dinosaur Train, thats not even Muppet related by a long shot. Also...
Every year it seemed we were spoiled by all sorts of Muppet and Jim Henson related figures and toys debuting at Toy Fair. Be it the Muppets, Fraggle Rock, Sesame, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth. But as of last year? Nada.
Just curious if anything Muppetty was shown this year?
Good thing that AB Cito was an obscure liner note doodle and not a full blown character!
My only issue with Roosevelt, was that he never felt quite like a Muppet...and to me always looked like, well a sock puppet. I thought that was distracting, as for some reason I felt he doesnt capture the...
I tend to agree, in that sexuality shown amongst the young Sesame puppets of any kind seems a bit out of place.
Then again, I literally thought big bird was a girl until a few years ago. So I tend to not even know what's up from down with those guys.
I think Sesame Workshop should maybe introduce a gay couple(male or female) as well as someone of Middle Eastern/Muslim background. Hoo boy, sure that'd have parents and politicians steamed...but I think it would better reflect normal city people in 2010.
I think the idea of a toddler show...
Um, it was definitely official(I checked the tag on the shirt) and it absolutely was marketed toward gay youth(it was sold amongst a number of gay youth culture merchandise. I'm just saying...:)
Couldnt agree more!
They are? There's very little about the Fraggle gang that seems like they are mentally children. They have all the sensibilities of young adults. the only reason Id be against a Gobo/Red and Boober/Mokey pairing is that'd leave Wembley out!(my fave Fraggle)
