    NBC cancels "Whitney"

Also, CBS has renewed Two and a Half Men yet again, despite Angus Jones pulling a Kirk Cameron and being demoted to extra! You just can't stop this show! http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/04/29/two-and-a-half-men-renewed-by-cbs-for-11th-season/179744/

    NBC cancels "Whitney"

NBC's also got that Betty White hidden camera show about old people playing pranks on young people. Ratings have fallen off dramatically, but because of it being so cheap to produce, NBC will probably keep it going.

Disney buying Lucasfilm, Star Wars Episode VII coming in 2015

While not a confirmed cast member yet, Mark Hamill hopes for a better balance between practical effects and CGI. I do, too. :) http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/05/star-wars-episode-vii-mark-hamill-on-his-hope-for-a-balance-between-cgi-and-old-school-fx Shooting of Episode VII will begin...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Is anyone excited for Blue Sky's latest film Epic? From the looks of it, it feels too generic and Ferngully-ish to me.

    Ugliest International Sesame Street Muppets

Sesamstraat's season 1 Muppet designs are a close second for me. The guy who designed them also worked on directing, writing songs, and translating skits for the show, but apparently wasn't so good with this aspect. Their designs really hit their stride when the Muppet Workshop stepped...

More scandal rocking Sesame Street: Roscoe Orman leaves ex

I hope this doesn't turn into a game of Telephone in which "much younger woman" would eventually be twisted into "little kid".

    Pot, meet kettle.

Or stealing people's YT videos for another video-hosting site they own while re-titling them and refusing to credit the uploaders. They even profit off of the vids by putting up ads in front of them. :grouchy:

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

Oh, and guess what studio is involved with the animation? A Canadian one (and one John Kricfalusi was involved with), which means more money-saving potential for WB! And their other Flash-animated works look much better, too! http://copernicus.ca/deploy/

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

TTG! is more or less a Flanderized version of the original TT cartoon and DC Nation shorts. At least with the comedy-focused shorts, it was kept to a short length, rather than stretched out to 11 minute episodes. The very choppy and not-easy-to-look-at Flash animation is also like a Flanderized...

    Pot, meet kettle.

Video Brinquedo, the maker of those god-awful knockoffs of Pixar and Dreamworks movies (sometimes called Brixar, short for "Brazilian Pixar") has filed copyright claims against YouTube, pulling down their films. Now I even have less respect for these hypocrites. Apparently not enough...

Great news: Splash's ratings are taking a nosedive (hardy har har)! Then again, the execs probably don't give a crap, because saving money is all that matters to them regardless of the show's success! http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/tv-ratings-splash-continues-sink-432679

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Another problem with most of these spoof movies is that the plot constantly gets sidetracked by gags and references. I admit to kinda liking Superhero Movie (not produced by Seltzerburger, BTW) because at least there it attempts to tell an actual story while spoofing the superhero genre at the...
