Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

The Jackie Robinson biopic 42 hits #1 at the box office, followed by Scary Movie V. To be fair, I'd watch a Scary Movie than any one of Seltzerburger's reference movies any day. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/04/14/42-is-the-weekend-box-office-champ?abthid=516aea793c7835a477000004

What TV Show has the most Spin offs?

All in the Family (which is the American adaptation of Man About the House) had The Jeffersons, Maude, and Good Times (the later of which was actually spun off from Maude).

The best and worst uses of Flash animation

Here's an excellent tutorial I found regarding hand-drawn/frame-by-frame animation in Flash. This should be of great use to future animators.

    Film Critic Roger Ebert Dies

Like his buddy Siskel Ebert, he sure was a trooper, continuing to review movies even when he was suffering from cancer. He will be greatly missed.

Finding Dory coming to theaters Summer 2016

Like everyone else said, this could be a great way to flesh out Dory, providing they don't Flanderize her short-term memory. I would also like to see a subplot of the Tank Gang struggling with living in the ocean, or maybe a return of the sharks.

The Cleveland Show likely to be cancelled

I wonder what anyone thinks of Fox's upcoming Saturday late night animation block, ADHD (Animation Domination High-Def), which would compete against Adult Swim and SNL? Even though cancelling America's Most Wanted was a very bad call, this seems a lot better than Cops and reruns of its other...

Disney buying Lucasfilm, Star Wars Episode VII coming in 2015

Even though this is about Lucasfilm, I feel this bit of news should be posted here, as well. Disney has unfortunately closed down LucasArts, laying off staff and cancelling two games with it, one of them being the highly anticipated Star Wars: 1313. The LucasArts name will still be used for...
