At least they're taking their time with this one, set to release 4 years after Chipwrecked.

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

I remember the behind-the-scenes documentary at the end of a Peter Pan VHS that showed Disney filming scenes in live-action before animating them, and using photographs of a model and oversized props as a guide for animating Tinkerbell. I wonder if Disney still does this?

    Beware the Batman impressions

Really liked the Magpie episode last week. It has plenty of great twists (but do they still count if they're foreshadowed?).

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

In Nick Turtles, April also seems to be a bit of a tech geek like Don, so the good chemistry they had in the 2K3 series (no pun intended) is maintained here, too.

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

More animation studios need to take a cue from something like Gumball, Foster's Home, MLP, or Randy Cunningham to see how to animate in Flash.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Turbo has earned almost $6 mil. on its opening day. Compare that to The Croods, which earned about $11.6 mil. on its debut, though that one opened on a weekend and had a wider release. http://www.deadline.com/2013/07/turbo-opens-slowly-wednesday-ahead-of-crowded-worldwide-weekend/

I unfortunately also see a lot of Fast & Furious fans/wannabe gangsta types flocking to Turbo. This film looks like it panders to that crowd, what with Snoop Dogg voicing a character, for one.

    Simpsons Itchy & Scratchy Poster: Comic-Con 2013

I believe it's called Murder Police, a show about an incompetent police force created by an ex-Family Guy writer and an up-and-coming animator/writer. It definitely has the potential to be good. http://www.fox.com/programming/shows/?sh=murder-police

    Beware the Batman impressions

I saw the premiere episode and I quite enjoyed it despite the bowdlerization of the guns (because as we all know, fictional guns are SO detrimental to society, but turn a blind eye to the real-life ones  ). I like the focus on the more obscure villains in the rogues gallery (namely the...

    RIP Cory Monteith

I wonder if his death will be worked into the show a la Mr. Hooper (but in a tasteful way)?

    Worst/creepiest puppets/puppeteer work

Fofao is a pretty impressively-made creature, I have to admit, and certainly way better than much of Vila Sesamo's characters. He just suffers from being hideously designed.

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

At least it's getting a 2nd season, and gets decent ratings (an average of 3 million viewers) for a kids show.

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

I think it's more cost effective for some shows to make the 1st season a couple of episodes long so that it won't be a huge loss for networks if the show fails. If the show is a success, the later seasons can be longer. Breaking Bad is one such show that uses this tactic. British shows, on the...

Also, elephants aren't just afraid of mice. Their eyesight is poor but their hearing is very sharp, so they can be afraid of anything they can't see well but can very easily hear.
