Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

It also helps that it had no competition either, unless you count the two kids' movies that are already out: Frozen (which is still holding on really well) and The Nut Job.

    The Gravity Falls Thread

Great to see a new series of shorts, specifically Mabel-centric ones! Worth noting is the fashion episode where Soos is dressed up like Jareth from Labyrinth! :)

    Any Bronies on here?

Loved the passive-aggressiveness between Applejack and Rarity in the latest episode., which was the same reason I loved "Look Before You Sleep". Bonus points for Rarity's pathetic attempt at acting and sounding "country". :D

First look at the newest Sonic series

Looks like there's no plans to release the Sonic Boom show or game in Japan, as they were primarily developed for Western audiences. Well, neither were the original Sonic games. http://www.polygon.com/2014/2/6/5387184/why-sega-handed-sonic-over-to-western-studios-and-gave-him-a-scarf

    Hilarious video game corruptions

This is what happens when you take your favorite games and scramble up their code. It can produce some really funny and even nightmarish stuff, but it requires a lot of patience, as the game usually crashes. These Vinesauce guys are some of the best sources for corruptions. They've actually...

First look at the newest Sonic series

    Philip Seymour Hoffman (1967-2014)

Looks like some of Hoffman's scenes will be Shemped in part 2 of the second Hunger Games sequel via CGI. He completed all of his scenes for part 1, though.

Cartoon Network loses its 8pm hour, with more Adult Swim

It's way expensive to produce. It's also one of the reasons why Green Lantern TAS was canned after 26 episodes. And it should be returning later this month.

Cartoon Network loses its 8pm hour, with more Adult Swim

Unless it's a premium network, that is.

Cartoon Network loses its 8pm hour, with more Adult Swim

To think AS will completely take over CN and corrupt (or further corrupt) our youth is just paranoia at best.

    Super Bowl XLVIII: The Commercials

The Muppets commercials were great, especially seeing the Electric Mayhem performing a musical number. Another one I really liked was for Intuit/Goldie Blox toys with the girls launching all those girl toys into space. And Budweiser's commercial with the puppy was really sweet.

    Any Bronies on here?

That Weird Al episode sure was epic, probably my favorite this season! Cheese Sandwich's manic energy during the musical numbers was a joy to watch! :)
