Thanks. Glad you like it. And thanks for the heads-up on Rushmore. I knew something was off, but it didn't occur to me to flip it. Funny that nobody noticed until now! :)
Actually, I got the Rushmore pic from the Muppet Book of Friendship and that's how it appears. I didn't notice they had flipped it and naturally kept it the same way. I'll change that next year.
Oh, Nate. Nobody's landed! LOL! There are no people on the bridge. I'm glad you noticed the traffic. I felt it pulled focus to the center and added some excitement. Plus it only took two minutes to do. :D
I think there is some confustion or perhaps you don't know the details for certain:
Fed Ex is still the only shipping option for the time being. The shipping cost of Tour Animal, S&W two-pack and B&B two-pack together would be $17. That's only $5.50 more than in the US. You really can't beat...
I think Palisades still has their lifetime membership going on. It's fairly inexpensive. Just 30 or 40 bucks and then you have access to buy all the con exclusives. Koozebane Kermit is not covered by the club, but Chef, Vaudeville Statler and Waldorf, Bunsen and Beaker Tux, Tour Animal...
Represented, from left to right: San Francisco (Golden Gate Bridge, trolley car), South Dakota (Mount Rushmore), Texas (Alamo), Washington DC (White House, Washington Monument) and New York (Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, Skyline).
I have lived in 4 out of the 5 places represented...
I agree with Warrick. GMC was the pinacle of Muppet design. Miss Piggy has never looked better and the cast all just looked right - except for Statler and Waldorf. However, I'll have to say that I like modern Rizzo better than the earlier versions.
It's industry standard now. I wouldn't be surpirsed if NBC suggested shooting in widescreen. When you sink 10M into a project and shoot it in high-def video, it only figures that they would shoot wide.
Everything is shot widescreen these days because widescreen televisions will become the norm a few years from now and it makes the project more valuable for retail sale. It's funny that these "full frame" transfers will eventually be the cropped ones and have black bars on the sides.
Who knows? I wouldn't count that out. As long as he's not featured on the box, I don't think there will be any protests.
It is disheartening that they didn't use the widescreen transfer (as originally shot) but we can't have everything and it was designed to be cropped. It would still have...
The scene with Hulk by the tree is (in my opinion) one of the best superhero cinematic scenes ever made. It was such a beautiful and expressive scene. It's hard to make those in live action - much less in CG. The artists and Jennifer Connely (for acting to thin air) deserve much credit...
Well we all know Link could come with either a cage or a desk and a few wanted posters. (Thinking of a Newsman-like pack-in) That's all we really need. Not a whole set (although it would be cool). The thing is, there are some hard-core fans who have passed on the excellent kitchen. I think they...
Spandex! LOL! And the pants and boxers he's always wearing are conveniently always purple in the film. The dude likes purple. Who doesn’t own a pair of purple pants? Although there is a point where he loses his shorts!
I am guessing that the correct url is here.
You should be aware that these items, while old, are not that rare. I got a whole set for under a dollar a few years ago and there are at least 15 other current auctions. Your buy-it-now bid is extremely high.
Other than that, welcome to the...
Just got back from Hulk. It's not "incredible" but it is a very good movie. I was expecting a similar pacing and style to Spiderman (I enjoyed that film too) but it was entirely different. I'd hate to say it, but as much as I enjoy Bana, the character has more personality as the Hulk. At least...
