Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
It's Disney's long-standing corporate synergy model being used to positive effect: using actors from their live-action shows to voice characters on their animated programming. Pretty much the only time they messed up on this was with the cast of Jessie hijacking Ultimate Spider-Man on a...
Man, was that a crazy episode last week. It was revealed that Steven can fuse, but most notably with humans.
Is it wrong that I find "Stevonnie" kinda hot? I mean, their ages combined shouldn't make it feel squicky, but it's technically a transvestite, so that makes it squicky all over again.
Well, Paddington has performed a modest $25 mil. at the box office in the quiet month of January, finishing at the #3 rank. It's another case of a film getting lucky thanks to no competition. It made a lot more money internationally, though, at over $120 mil...
I'm really enjoying the series so far. Star Butterfly is so adorable with her unbridled and potentially deadly optimism, yet I also love how she can still hold her own in a fight. How fitting that she's voiced by the girl who played Sue Heck in The Middle, too. :)
I loved how emotive Elmo was in this episode, getting worried over "the hard part" about carrying the toast and getting all crestfallen over dropping it, among other moments. Ryan Dillon's really gotten a hang of the character. :)
Sorry about the necropost. I just thought that posting in that old thread would be more appropriate and less redundant than creating a whole new one, but I guess not.
Anyway, I'd like to talk about the Razzies for a bit.
Anyone else miffed that Seth MacFarlane was nominated for worst actor and...
I loved the Dark Crystal rap "The Dark Cristal". It condenses the plot of the movie in the form of a stereotypical gangsta rap. Plus, you gotta love those singing Mystics. :)
People are complaining about the lack of diversity of the Oscar noms compared to last year, which is understandable, but most of the complaints feel like social justice warrior whining to me.
Like I said in the Peanuts thread, there's been a lot of 2D-ification of CGI in recent years whether with the squashy, stretchy movements of SpongeBob to the flat, slightly choppy look of The Peanuts Movie to the overall aesthetic of Disney's features. This sort of phenomenon could lead a big...

Kinda unfair that Selma is in there seeing as it got a limited Christmas release last year and a wide release this...
Later TV reruns of WKRP had just about all the songs replaced with soundalike versions, and scenes that had characters talking over them were redubbed by soundalike actors. You can thank the licensing deals that allowed the show to use the songs expiring.
Nowadays, we can be thankful that...
I remember watching The Mask and Ace Ventura series as a kid, but never D&D. In fact, I never knew it existed until years later online, so it must have disappeared fast. This is a travesty indeed.
I don't see why more companies can't put ads in front of videos that contain their content so they can make money off of them, kinda like what Nintendo does, or at least I think they still do. It would certainly be a lot more cost effective than yanking them entirely.
Anyway, I'm just glad...
Mr. Enter's YT channel was terminated thanks to corporate brats abusing the Content ID system, namely Viacom. He's the guy who reviewed a lot of much-hated SpongeBob episodes released during the post-movie era, among other episodes of shows. :boo:
Hopefully the counter-claim he sent will...
Rowdy recently took a look at a New York public access show starring a superheroine and her dog, and oh boy does it look awful! All the innuendos make me think they were going for a bad softcore porno or something, and failing hard!
