A lot of then-new cartoons I hated as a teen I ended up enjoying once I re-watched them later on down the line. And yes, I still watched cartoons even when I was "too old" for them. So sue me. :D
And I'll say it again: to me, that kind of "all stuff today sucks" attitude implies that nothing...
Or worse, Happy Feet.
Birdman, a comedy, winning Best Picture was indeed miraculous. J.K. Simmons getting the Best Supporting Actor award was great to see, too. :)
I know what you mean. Those two songs were just really dull.
The "Everything is Awesome" performance was indeed...
Ah yes, Alanis Morrisette's cover of the Black Eyed Peas song. Now that's another cover I like a lot better, mainly because it better delivers the tongue-in-cheek misogyny the original was trying to convey through Alanis' wailing singing voice. :)
Unsurprisingly, Fifty Shades still stays on top, while SpongeBob and Kingsman round out the top 3. Meanwhile, new releases McFarland, USA and The Duff trail closely behind them.
But boy, did Hot Tub Time Machine 2 flop hard compared to the first one's opening. I expect it to at least turn a...
Well, Kirk Cameron and Saving Christmas dominated the Razzies yesterday, taking home Worst Actor and Picture, respectively. But Michael Bay ended up winning Worst Director for Transformers 4, undeservedly enough.
I have faith in that Sofia the First spinoff with Disney's first Hispanic princess. That demographic of preschoolers deserve better than Dora or Handy Manny, and I'm sure the producers know what they're doing with the characters and culture (which would probably cover a broad spectrum of Latin...
I remember when the Rowdy Reviewer took on Glee and said he enjoyed the first 2 seasons, especially the 2nd when it was a little more playful with the concept. But after that, he turned on the show as he got more and more infuriated at the character derailment and other dumb choices it made.
And treated as more disposable than an actual toy, too. More expensive, as well, once you factor in all the crazy microtransactions to pay for an allegedly free game.
I think I knew why "Down Under" wasn't used: because they blew most of the budget using "Happy Birthday to You" in the latest episode! :)
I honestly would like to see Mordie and Rigby's new birthday song become an actual thing. The original song and the public domain "For He's a Jolly Good...
For a long time, I never knew there were originally three bakers. Did Wendell get jealous and pull a Titus Andronicus on them or something?
"Must Be the Honey" has to be even more embarrassing and inappropriate. :grouchy:
The one about the bears is based on a webcomic created by the same guy as the series. The comics are okay, but hopefully the concept is expanded from the gag-a-day style of the strips into actual plots, which would work better on the small screen. And the concept of three semi-anthro bears...
It feels more like one of those Japanese commercials where they try to squeeze a lot in a limited time frame (supposedly because air time is a lot more expensive over there), only this is more dizzyingly disjointed with all these different ideas thrown at the wall.
And at least the Flash...
I came across this General Mills commercial thanks to (or no thanks to) the Annotated Series guys after watching the latest episode of the Donkey Kong Country series they annotated.
To whoever directed this, if you're going to be random, at least be coherent. First you've got a seemingly...
