Last night's episode was pretty good. We not only got to see a potential budding relationship between Eddie and the girl next door, but we also learned that Cattleman's Ranch is a knockoff of an existing restaurant. Louis essentially bought a franchise of said restaurant and filed the serial...
Yeah, Flash-animated stuff certainly is getting better, more so on the Internet. I'm sure the creators of the new DT will stick close to the Barks/Rosa style either way.
Even if they stick closer to the comics, they should keep the canon foreigners everyone loves. :)
I'd say Gargoyles was...
And who's to say the new DT won't use hand-drawn animation? I'd say Disney's TV animation department has been better at providing that with its recent cartoon offerings like Phineas & Ferb, Gravity Falls, and The 7D, though Titmouse and Mercury Filmworks provide some darn good animation with...
2k12 Baxter seemed pretty vengeful and crazy even before his fly transformation, though this was mostly chalked up to being bullied frequently in his youth.
Next week comes Neill Blomkamp's Chappie, which I expect to open somewhat better than his earlier film Elysium, mainly because there's no direct competition to speak of and that it isn't dumped into the month of August, which was the same month that benefited Blomkamp's first movie District 9.
The Will Smith movie Focus is number 1 this weekend, followed by Kingsman and SpongeBob, the former now turning a slight domestic profit. Meanwhile, Fifty Shades has slipped out of the top 3, while horror The Lazarus Effect follows behind, though it won't matter to Relativity Media because it...
It's that overall hand-drawnified CGI trend in the industry, which I like. And if it leads to an eventual 2nd renaissance in traditional animation, then I'm all for it. :)
And it's still a big step above Grimmy having his personality sucked away by not talking at all in the 4th Transformers movie.
At first I was skeptical about Robots in Disguise's look, but actually getting a good look of it in motion for myself, I can tell you that it looks a lot better than I thought. The whole style is done cel-shaded CGI with hand-painted backgrounds and extra effects like motion blurs, 2D particle...
Thanks to this show, I now know that "spaghettification" (the stretching effect of an object caught in a black hole) is a real astronomical term rather than a childish bit of Buffy-speak. Shows how much I know about astronomy. :D
They're really mining (no pun intended) Amethyst for drama lately, not that I'm complaining. And did she simply become friends with Greg after having a relationship with Rose, or were they lovers even before that? The world may never know.
Well, looks like the FCC has done something good for once: they've approved a net neutrality bill by reclassifying Internet access as a public utility. Bravo to them.

I did like the concept of a "trash realm", but I get what you mean about how wildly random this episode felt even knowing the show's tone. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered why Uncle Grandpa looked so much fatter than he normally does.
Maybe the writers got hit with amnesia just...
And no, I'm not talking about the futuristic section of Disneyland or the upcoming Tomorrowland movie; rather, it's another shockingly enjoyable preschool series from Disney. It's a lot like Star Trek for kids, with a little bit of Tron thrown in with some of the aesthetics.
The show has some...
ARRRRGH!!!! Even after President's Day has come and gone, that blasted Jeep ad with the kids singing the names of the presidents to the tune of "Ten Little Indians" just won't go away!
We get it, Chrysler Corp! You're greedy as all get-out by extending your President's Day sale past its date...
I'd like to see Gladstone Gander appear more often, too. He was greatly underused in DT, and was even a more sympathetic and likeable character than in the comics in the only episode which he starred in.
I really liked the heartwarming ending to the latest episode, along with the end credits segment about the kids being let down by Shaq Fu (which I can totally relate to).
I loved how crazy Star was in the latest episodes, along with all her exaggerated expressions. It's great to know that Twilight Sparkle isn't the only princess to suffer a nervous breakdown. And Rob Paulsen really knows how to pull off silly accents. :D
There's a lot of potential for this to adapt more stuff from the comics, especially characters from the comics that DuckTales never utilized. And no doubt Alan Young and June Foray will have re-cast roles considering their ages, which I won't mind as long as they get good replacements.
But of...
Doug Walker weighs in on the hype surrounding Frozen and others like it. I agree with most of what he says here, particularly when he says he'd rather have something of high quality with a lot of love and care put into it receive tons of attention and praise over something mediocre like...
