I'm gladly buying Ghost Sam and I really like the figure, but the concept is one of my least favored exclusives. :attitude: I understand how some would pass. But that's why it's an exclusive in the first place.
It's about something for everyone and not all to please one particular type of fan. There *has been no shark jumping* as far as retail sales figures between series one and five. Six appears to be strong too. What you mean is that it jumped the shark pertaining to your personal tastes - but...
Knowing Ken the java slinkies would go before the penguin. He *wants* to release penguins and strengthen the Sal pack. Seeing how simplistic and unarticulated the slinkies are, he won't likely scrap those either. And don't forget the veggies. Don't worry. We will get penguins. :zany:
What are your suggestions for variants? You have to exclude Miss Piggy because she has proven to be a tough sell. I guess we'll have to wait for Swinetrek, but I don't blame retailers for being shy about her. There is a pvc coming with banjo Kermit. There is also the Jim figure (you have to give...
Crash Gonzo was a store exclusive, not a figure available in the regular carded lineup. That's what he meant.
Where do these rumors get started? There is no plan to scrap either, but if there was a decision they'd pick the penguin. :zany:
While the Simpsons aren't my favorite property, I acknowledge that they have a show on the air and are very popular right to modern consumers. The sets on the other hand are pretty cheesy, but they are also cheaply priced. It appears to me that details are the enemy of Simpsons figure designers...
How could you be Gonzoed out? He's probably the best likeness of the line. Love the little guy. Okay, so I have an unhealthy obsession with him. Actually, next year there's only one regular assortment carded Gonzo. Tux is an exclusive and Megas are not widely distributed. That's about right for...
I don't take any offense at what you said. The thing is, these exclusives while not show-accurate are *very Muppety* in spirit. There's something fitting about Scout Leader Kermit, Vacation versions of characters and Muppets in Tuxedos. Sure, there are themes that I woiuld also like to see, but...
Robin is so figgin' cute. I love that little guy. How could anyone see him and not snatch that figure up? He's just one of those figures that make me smile. Pigs in Space set looks incredible too. Is it just me or does it seem to improve everytime there's a new photograph?
Oz rumor is apparently true according to Secret Squirrel. It will appear on ABC next year. While it's not my first choice, I have high hopes that they'll do something creative with the story. The Oz theme could also bring current non-fans into the Muppet fan fold.
Keep in mind these lists are still very tentative. Anything could happen. Usually Ken doesn't post these this far ahead, but this comes from the licensors information, not directly from Palisades. Many changes could happen. You just never know. I still hope it's something close to this.
The backstage set reportedly holds up to 15 figures. 15!!! I'm sure that if you put your collection inside the set in place of their current location, that will help with space management. We have 6 or more months to save up for the appoximately $30 playset so knowing it's coming is helpful...
Actually Gonzo, Piggy, Zoot, Bunsen, Rizzo, Sam, Waldorf and many others have gone through siginificant changes through the years. The TMS chacters have evolved just as much change through the years. Even modern characters like Pepe and Clifford have gone through changes. The truth is, all...
