While the Simpsons aren't my favorite property, I acknowledge that they have a show on the air and are very popular right to modern consumers. The sets on the other hand are pretty cheesy, but they are also cheaply priced. It appears to me that details are the enemy of Simpsons figure designers...

I don't take any offense at what you said. The thing is, these exclusives while not show-accurate are *very Muppety* in spirit. There's something fitting about Scout Leader Kermit, Vacation versions of characters and Muppets in Tuxedos. Sure, there are themes that I woiuld also like to see, but...

They are aware of the difference and it's safe to say the purple is the preferred version. Fingers crossed. I don't think they'd do it otherwise.

Oz rumor is apparently true according to Secret Squirrel. It will appear on ABC next year. While it's not my first choice, I have high hopes that they'll do something creative with the story. The Oz theme could also bring current non-fans into the Muppet fan fold.

Sal wears a vest that could easily be repainted many ways. He will also come with a penguin that could be repainted as well.

Keep in mind these lists are still very tentative. Anything could happen. Usually Ken doesn't post these this far ahead, but this comes from the licensors information, not directly from Palisades. Many changes could happen. You just never know. I still hope it's something close to this.

The backstage set reportedly holds up to 15 figures. 15!!! I'm sure that if you put your collection inside the set in place of their current location, that will help with space management. We have 6 or more months to save up for the appoximately $30 playset so knowing it's coming is helpful...
