Something tells me that wasn't the reason he left, but it seems like trying to pull Murray back a bit might have been a straw among the pile on the camel's back, and we don't really know what the last one was. The "heart and soul" thing seems pretty sinister sounding, though. Maybe the HBO...
Hints were dropped with the subtly of dropping a piano down a flight of stairs. Rewatch the "Flowers on the Wall" video, the Star Trek cruise episode of Muppets Tonight, and the end of LTS where Bunsen eagerly asks if he may cut in (with a dance with a hot female model), and Beaker is all to...
The more I think about it, the more it's obvious that Hasbro and Universal (or whatever studio put it out) knew this movie wouldn't do well (though I can't imagine that poorly). The most glaringly obvious thing about this film's predetermined failure is there were no Jem toys or Jem based...
Wouldn't you know? The day this episode airs, TMNT in Space Suit action figures started popping up. There's even a box set of all 4 Turtles and Fugitoid.
While I do think the time travel reset thing was a might cheap, I had a feeling they were going to pull that one all along. Plus the rest...
Never was a fan of bouncing premiere dates no matter what the show. I get that they want to have anniversaries and stuff like that, but a little more consistency in their air dates wouldn't have hurt. Something tells me it's more on PBS's end than SW's, and I'm sure the all the sudden deal...
I have a sneaking suspicion that part of the reason that he left was that they were planning to do away with the block hosting bit all together. If it's still part of the up and coming season remains to be seen... especially since it doesn't even have a broadcast date yet.
Eh, to be brutally...
If there's one thing I really liked about Gadget and the Gadetinis it was that. Dr. Claw wasn't in every episode and he got to fight other villains. I'm sure Danger Mouse originally had episodes with other villains as well, so they're carrying that on.
Zombies as an an ironic meme are over, that is. Walking Dead is far from ironic, and still manages to draw in huge audiences. iZombie, unless I'm mistaken, was a comic book, possibly written before the cutoff and just greenlit. But whatever you can say about zombies being popular, there's one...
Everything is pure speculation, and while I usually don't get on the other side of the recast issue, I just don't see anyone else taking up Murray and giving the same effect Joey had. Then again, at a shorter half hour (and the fact they were phasing out his letter and number intros) probably...
Dexter could have benefited from what they did with PPG. Just release all of it at once and throw as much old CN bumpers as possible in there. Other than the fact they're on double sided disks (read Ultra easy to scratch and lose an entire side), I was very happy with that release. Dexter was...
Seems the only current shows getting DVD's are usually just getting single disks, and that seems to all but have stopped. I'm sure Regular Show, Adventure Time and TTG are still getting season sets, but Clarence, Steven Universe, and Uncle Grandpa only have like one or two single disks each...
Well aware of that.
But the movies and TV shows (and Netflix series by extension) are some confused distance from each other. All Hail King Julien could be seen as connected to the movies where as Penguins of Madagascar the series is said to be an alternate universe.
Indeed Doc was trying to keep the machine clandestine, for the obvious reasons of what happened in BTTF II. If anyone else got their hands on that technology, they could do some serious damage. I would tend to agree that he wanted to build it for the sake of building it, but would then realize...
I have very complicated thoughts about how diversity plays out in kid's programming. There are those who really want to add diverse characters naturally, and those often result in some well written characters that have depth. I mean, look how diverse Hey Arnold is. Every character is genuine...
I'm actually excited for Tomorrow night. They're going to show a whole episode of Harvey for a change.
Anyway, loved the last episode and how it built depth for a secondary/tertiary character. And the big build up that leads to the fact that Foo just doesn't get what that kind of...
The Seth MacFarlane bit on the DVD was only a demo track for the Schoolhouse Rock parody episode, and strangely for someone with that singing voice, he just mumbled his way through them. That said, I'd also add that it could also have been because of Butch Hartman who they actually got to do...
I'll agree that there needs to be a better balance, but it's just that "unironic sweetness" can turn into unadulterated syrupy saccharine if they're not too careful. Like I said before, LTS was just... diabetic. Especially Uma "kills people in Tarantino films" Thurman as that sugar coated...
