Well, at least we know who's to blame for this.
I watched an Oddity Archive about "scary closing logos" and while the host wasn't phased much by them as a adult looking back on them (but had some choice words for that intentionally disturbing Russian one), but he analyzed why others thought...
It looks exactly what I think it would look like and sounds exactly what I thought it would sound like. Something made in the '10's...maybe a couple years behind. Elfy ukulele music? Check. Over used movie effect where everything is in slow motion for no good reason? Check. It's still...
Ladonna I'm fairly ambivalent about. Her introduction was almost Poochie-like levels of in your face-iness, and the character justwouldn't shut up through her entire introduction episode. But I feel they wrote her better after that, with some very satisfying edge as soon as the episode where...
I really like how they give Alvin this issue with birds. Especially in this one where they actually address the fact they're rodent sized and Alvin has a very justified fear of large birds of prey.
Now, one thing confuses me. If "Theozilla" was all just a daydream of the teacher's, how does...
Sure seems like it. So didn't Stoopid Buddies' stop motion Halloween film. They both seem like they were made for midnight movies or cult classics but somehow were advertised like they were mainstream films. I couldn't find either of them, actually. Not that I was looking for that Scout...
The problem with the show is the same problems any show has if it's been on long enough. The episodes swing wildly in quality, they either risk accidentally repeating themselves or come up with episodes that make you go "why...?"
The last few seasons have had a wild hit or miss rate for me...
I'd admit, I watched some of the more recent episodes, and it's starting to get a little more... well... tighter at least. It's not really a bad show, so far I like it at least better than Fish Hooks, considering it's the same creator (but that's an admittedly low bar). It just doesn't feel...
PFFT! Really?! I'd imagine that when these videos came out, they'd be somewhere in between 10-15 bucks. Jeez. What we paid for VHS back in the day. I'm sure you got them for much, much cheaper.
According to Cringevenom, who posted these on YT:
Maybe that's why we haven't seen anything...
The animation is much more fluid than the last episode.
Making Thomas Jefferson a recurring antagonist is more delightful batcrap craziness from this series. Also loved how the big, great, mystic secret of the Mystery Spot was just Armpit Willie. I really like the main characters and all, but...
I didn't find it surprising at all, really. How are they going to top Bill Cipher destroying the world through chaos and L'il Gideon's Heel-Face turn? I hate saying it, but I'd rather the show go out on top than struggle to keep itself at that level. And Alex himself wanted to end things...
Thank Glob!
I really thought the way Sega handled things that this show was in jeopardy since, well... the cartoon seems like it was there to promote the game. Thankfully it seems the cartoon managed to rise up against the poor reception of the games.
I hope their is a season two. It's a shame that the games were rushed out by Sega and actually damaging to the self contained reboot/alternate universe. Archie killed the comic book after barely a year (and that's all I'm saying about that), but the cartoon managed to become my absolute...
I had a sad feeling that was the case. Weirdmageddon looked very much like a satisfying end to the series, not to mention the show's in story timeline felt like it was coming to an end. I really wish there could have been a way to keep the stories and characters going via spinoffs or something...
As far as I go, I agree. What happened to Lucas is what happens to every director at a certain point in their career. They stop being the wide eyed young artist, and become fuddy duddies in some aspect. In Lucas's case, it was all about self-perfectionism. Seeing too much of what he thought...
Well, first off, it was getting harder and harder for me to pull of videos, since most of the formats don't even work right. Secondly, the new computer has no movie editing software built in, and I have no desire to buy or download a cracked licensed copy of one. And third...I was having some...
Bird poop jokes don't bug me at all. I can even take a fart if it's done right. I actually laughed pretty hard at Dave saying "NO ONE IS FARTING ON ANYBODY!!"
But yeah, the movies are another story. The Pizza toot joke in the trailer was gratuitous.
Hmmmmm.... I'll say this. Lucas ruined the prequels and the original trilogy as far as Special Editioning goes of his volition. There was no corporate influence in making Jar Jar and the racist as heck Trade feds with bad Chinese accents. And if anyone looks at what the original films could...
Homer Simpson Eating Play-Doh and being told it's non-toxic: "That's a plus."
It's clear the decision to rerun episodes came before the HBO deal happened, as the entire 46th season was done while they were on a shrinking budget before that money bump. But the choices they made are strange...
You see, I find reality programming a million times more offensive than any amount of extremely soft core network sex (which has more rules to it than you think) or even the odd level of violence you can get away with now. Even the uplifting, hopeful shows are demeaning. American Idol... we...
