Nerf
I think you're on to something. I agree, the Nerf material gets my vote. I'm wondering if they're still trying to make the nose bendable. I really don't favor that. Just want it looking right. I'm sure there must be some kind of light-weight material out there that'll do and it just might...
:concern: I'm still bewildered about the difficulty of finding a durable foam-looking replacement for the nose. By the way, will the eyelid foam on him become a problem later on? I really want that Gonzo Terry made. It is just so fantastic. :)
Eye = Nose Foam?
Good observation. I wonder that too.
I would really like to hear a little about the manufacturing process. Not guarded trade secrets, of course, but just a little of how the posers are made - from conceptual art to shipped product. It would be interesting. :concern:
I'm sure the pattern is more of a guideline. Alterations are probably made Muppet-by-Muppet by the puppet builders. That sort of thing likely can't be done on a production line without adding much expense and man hours. Going strictly by the pattern is probably the best way to go in most cases...
What a beautiful replica. :excited: It's like I'm lookin' right at the fella. Great job! Henson should hire you to make Fraggles! Just my take. Again, great job on the likeness. Spot on!
The chickens! Oh, the chickens. Loved it - and it was nice having the Leprechaun Brothers back in action. He he. :halo:  :) (no chef icon)
Edit- Animal's hair looked wilder than normal. Almost like the poser. Did anyone else notice?
I'm enjoying Kermit's Tour, but a few ideas...
:) The Vegas pictures were fun and Kermity. I much enjoyed them.
Kermit appears to be grimacing in every photo from Dallas. I am a native Texan (from Houston, so I'm excited that's the frog's next stop) and I know Dallas doesn't smell all that...
Guess I'm out
Eeek. I've been advocating the creation of a Dark Crystal action figure line for years now, but not at such a high price. They are stunning, but don't justify the steep price (especially after feeling kind of hosed by the latest lack-luster DVD release). :sympathy:
As a fan...
Ah, Ol' Angus McGonagle! I almost forgot about him. Not sure how he would have sold, but he would have made a darn good-looking figure!
Glad the Swinetrek got to you by Christmas. That must have cool to open! Quarterly speaking that's still very late. October/November was really the target on...
Brain burp. 10th anniversary issue decade list makes sense.
I forgot all about the Jim figure. That should have probably made the list.
I remember the Swinetrek release date missed the Christmas season by a month or so due to either shipping, manufacturing or oversight. It also was...
Sounds like one dangerous bear! :o
(He he...just had to say it! I get it, but never would have drawn the association of Fozzie Bear and automatic weapons. It begged a response. Still giggling.) ;)
I am a big Broadway fan! My favorite live Broadway musical was Cole Porter's Anything Goes starring Patti LuPone. That was in the late 80s. I hear she's doing Gypsy soon. I've gotta make it out to NY to see her in that when it happens.
Anyway, back to Little Mermaid. I remember when Beauty...
I felt the FM Piggy looked rather bored in the eyes. Tried to tinker with that, but it was far too late once I got a peek at the design. The hair, though styled beautifully, is quite brown. The Swinetrek set was not that popular. Who'd have guessed? I've seen towers of them in local comic shops...
I was also surprised at the DVD silkscreen's lack of white. I didn't mind it, but it was an obvious price-cutting measure.
As for static menus, though, that doesn't appear to fall in line with any Disney release these days. Neither does the "slim-pack" look. There is a definite formula and...
Wow! I am so happy the figures are still getting their due.
I worked a little on some of the figures so there is undoubtedly a bias, but here goes. Out of fairness the ones I worked on (both credited or uncredited) are starred.
The best of the Palisades line:
1* Gonzo (Series 5 or...
The Days of VHS
I'm writing this post due to many of the online reviews (not MC really, but amazon, blogs etc). Many reviewers are cutting a couple stars off this DVD rating merely due to the sparse bonus features.
I remember the days of VHS home video box sets - when it was every fan's...
Are they holding off to coincide with a first quarter Muppet project or has High School Musical taken over the magazine for the rest of the year? Money's money, but a little bit of Muppet substance would be nice. :halo:
I just saw the bag online. Here's the link to it.
I'm considering getting it. It's so inexpensive, I walk a lot and I'm a backpack sort of guy (not a trendy one-strappy bag that kills my shoulder after an hour of city walking sort of guy...because it's really not good for body in the long...
