Yeah, cutting may not be needed for Animal, maybe just some fluffing and combing. Though I think Jamie would probably be good at trimming Animals hair. He's a genius.
Exactly. Like some of the official pictures have wrinkled faces that give Kermit a beak look. He needs careful posing. Mine looks fairly nice, though some people pose him perfectly. I hope to get Animal cause it looks like he'd be real fun to display.
Yeah they needed people to pose the posers. The official Kermit photos don't make Kermit look nearly as good as he is. Usually it's the other way around. So I am hoping that these will look better when people get them home and pose them and take new pics.
Oh man, looking at the photoshopped version makes me wish they'd make the suit darker. As for why they'd do it, shady business. All they need to do is put up a disclaimer saying color may vary and they can get people to buy it based on an edited pic.
First Mate Piggy is a good example. Certainly a nice figure, but not exactly accurate. Gonzo was indeed great, but to me he doesn't look like any one Gonzo, which I guess is good. I dunno. I guess what I want is a replica of what I think the characters should look like, which obviously can't...
Oh no, I hate when they do a mix of various looks. Palsiades did that with some of the figures and it just didn't work for me. But so far MR has done well so who knows.
As for the muppets getting redone, I think the Piggy that has been used lately is rahter good. The one on Craig Furgason...
Good point about the jacket and sneakers. Though Gonzo has a full suit and shoes and Animal is clothes so maybe it won't be too much more than them. As for hom moving thousands of units, I dunno. Certainly possible if they think Rizzo can. I mean I love Rizzo as a character, but Scooter is...
Scooter isn't Robin though. Robin is a very plain design. He's just a frog. Kermit is the most famous frog and he hasn't sold out. Scooter, however, is visually stimulating. There is a lot going on with his outfit and over all design. He just looks cooler, And really, isn't that more...
Not only in the Muppet show, but he had memorable moments in TMM, some in GMC, and probably one of the funniest scenes in MTM. I mean, come on!
Oh, and lets not forget he was a main enough character to be turned into a muppet baby, not just in the cartoon, but in the original dream sequence...
Oh i didn't even think of Scooter near a home theater system! He's be great near some kind of popcorn machine as well. He always had a popcorn scene in the muppet movies, until the newer ones. They should revive that running gag.
When I get Animal....in like a year when I can afford...
I agree. Fozzie seems more straight forward than the others. I think his likeness is easier to get than Kermit's and certainly easier than Gonzo's. It's really just a pear shaped head. They just need to get the eyes right which seems the hardest part. Frankly I'd like it better if the eyes...
eye focus definatly helped. The suit color is not off exactly, Gonzo did wear a suit that looked like that sometimes, but his classic suit that most remmeber is the darker purple/maroon suit.
Thats cause that pic is rather blurred. Not really a good comparison.
I still don't really like this poser. The prototype was far superior, and I don't just mean the nose.
Yeah. Scrooge is a good choice. Seems they just went with a popular character instead of what would make sense. If anything Stitch makes a good yoda. In fact, I think they have him as Yoda too.
Scooter not as well known?
That's just stupid. The people who buy these things will know who Scooter is. And frankly Scooter just LOOKS GOOD which is most important here. He's got the perfect color scheme and an interesting look and out fit.
Travis, what are you thinking?
Delays aren't the same as broken promises. you can not help delays. As a consumer all you really have is a right to the goods you payed for, and if I recall most sites don't charge until the item is shipped, unless you pay by pay pal. So in reality, it's not like you have lost anything.
