I don't see how one tiny growl drastically alters a character's personality. :p It seems like your mind is already made up and that's fine. That 1.6 seconds just doesn't support much of any case about the film. The case really is the thin story. Some people got to foot-tapping in the...

That isn't the way it is played in the actual film. All three are distinct and retain their classic personality. That one clip with Simon is entirely taken out of context and doesn't carry through the rest of the picture. That was in a scene where fame had gone to all the munk's heads.
The...
What Exactly Were They Sticking In Those Burgers?
I can't ever see Grimace teaching proper nutrition. :p Maybe he could be the foil in any such PSA. The problem with fast food chains like McDonalds is that they are only interested in the appearance of doing something - not the actual doing of...
This Quinn-written MC article in 2002 is as close as I've come to a good picture of it. Some really nice stuff in that. "Bring me the head of Fozzie Bear!" He he. I miss these kinds of articles. :o
Another Friday passes without Tinseltown. :sympathy:
Thought I'd Revive This Old Thread!
One of the last ladies I worked with on a past temp job said she was always scared of the Muppets as a kid. I understood when she cited Sweetums, but she included Big Bird in the mix. She might as well included sunshine and her own shadow in the list of scary...
It's happened to me at a work station before. I log on to MC (or another site) and mistakenly click something very loud. LOL! I'm a temp these days so can't always know or control the volume settings of my work station which usually makes me avoid surfing altogether. :( <---- sad Bert.
Not...
I believe it was Brian Henson who remarked about Disney having some mysterious method behind their madness when releasing the Muppet Show DVDs, I think that is probably the case here too. It's about priority and timing. Finding the best time and place for the exposure. Maybe they didn't test...
You are talking about cavern colors instead of Fraggle colors right? I always thought the caverns were lit for purposes of dramatic mood and geography. :excited:
I know fans find it unfortunate that the album is nominated in the Best Children's Recording catagory, but lets not forget that Rainbow Connection won a Grammy as a children's recording years ago. The Grammy people decided the Muppets place in music during Jim's era, I doubt that will change...
Note - there are a few spoilers - C+
Alvin & the Chipmunks: The New CG Movie
Waking up early for Saturday morning cartoons was a fun part of my childhood and of course Alvin and the Chipmunks were in the line-up of weekly shows I enjoyed. The big question about the film – are these those...
:attitude: It's nifty being able to include a link in the body of a post.
Please, please please make a note when embedding video, audio or time-intensive links in your posts!
Not every user is viewing at home or knows to adjust the volume of their viewing station. It is a common...
That film always made substances look adventure filled and exciting to me! LOL! Of couse they are not - and should be avoided! It's hard to tell what's worse for a person these days - substance abuse or McDonald's food!
Greasy fast food can act much like cigarrettes and slowly build up...
Expect a review this evening. I've heard that it's very "Sell, Sell, Sell!" throughout the picture. I expected this, reviewers must have as well, so it seems to be especially pronounced in this film. Reports are that it is very much for the kids. But heck, it can't be any more boring than Bee...
Muppet Holiday Menu Description 4
:zany: Muppet Christmas Carol Menu :concern:
This menu is inspired directly from the movie. Snow falls across the composition. Scrooge appears from far away; head to toe in the center of the frame. The Muppet Central greeting eclipses him and morphs into...
There is something magic - not just about the CG, but the characters, the storytelling, the look and texture of a Pixar film that lets the viewer know it's a quality work of art. Other companies have had good attempts, but no clear direction. Shrek the Third was all over the place as was Bee...
Probably so people will see it. So much gets missed on PBS by most of the country, but ABC gets eyeballs watching. Not saying that's a good thing. Plus it can ultimately direct more traffic to PBS' regular Sesame program. That and ABC will probably provide more of a budget for the production. :)
Not really true at all. The Chipmunks' film in its cropped version has weird scanning and tracing moments because it was shot wider than the 1.33:1 aspect ratio. You are correct that some modern full frame shows are being remasked for widescreen television technology, but that's not the case...
Amazon has Alvin and the Chipmunks - The Chipmunk Adventure but only in "full frame" darn inferior Paramount. :smirk:
It is a good film and beautifully animated! I wish more films would look like it. :excited:
