Could it be that some Muppet Show viewers see the pig as I see Elmo on Sesame Street? A little goes a long way. However I never minded the pig so much, but I can see how others would differ. :zany:
I still like the idea of giving Cookie a Veggie friend to play off of. That solves the problem right there and incorporates the information in a traditional Sesame fashion. And they can share their favorite snacks with each other. Cookie Monster is an extreme. He was never meant to teach...
Things I Like:
I like Zoe. She's a fun addition to the show and has a softer touch engaging the viewer than her more heavy-handed red friend. I haven't seen much Abby, but I feel she is meant to be marketed toward kids who like Dora the Explorer. Not sure how I feel about that, but the puppet...
I checked out clips of Muppets TV before. The excerpts I saw included Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Scooter, Rowlf, Statler, Waldorf, Newsman, Swedish Chef, Animal, Clifford, Zoot and Dr. Teeth.
I don't remember seeing Janice, Floyd, Robin, Bunsen, Beaker, Pepe, Sam or Rizzo. That's not...
Funnneee! I liked it. And it showcases Barretta's talents with puppetry and improvisation away from his coworkers. His Muppet characters rarely get that opportunity. If only they could bring some of this spark to Tinseltown. ;)
This project listed no other writer than Jim Davis (and he exec-produced it too, of course). The extras show a video conference between Davis and the overseas animation team leader. He also picked the guy to help the US end of the project that reportedly created the technology for Terminator 2...
On China-
It all really depends upon the team Fozzie gets in China. Sometimes they assign their C and D list talent to save their best people to impress new clients who haven't already inked long-term contracts. That's what happened Steppin-out Fozzie years ago.
However, I believe Fozzie...
 Is this a Flash issue? Ever since Adobe purchased Macromedia, Flash just hasn't been the same. They should have just left it alone. Sometimes the streaming properties of their videos are prohibitively tweaky on high speed wi-fi connections. These connections are what the culture is...
 Marley & Marley :boo:
The current Christmas menu is of the Statler and Waldorf Marleys from Muppet Christmas Carol. The color palette is mainly icy blue and black with some green holly garland and red bows hung on the back wall. Also, both characters hold colorful Christmas wreaths...
They kept cutting ALF's comedic momentum, but what there was of him was good. I forgot how expressive that puppet is - even in the 80s. I watched the first three seasons of ALF religiously, but then it kinda got away from me. :o
I do wish they'd bring the cartoon back somewhere. It was so...
3 Screen-Grabs of the Garfield Gets Real
To me, this project reminds me of the neatly shaded Garfield posters of the 80s. Upon a second viewing the secondary characters really stand out as being sub-par. I do love that in the Comic World all the cars run on bubbles! Does Al Gore know about...
Yeah, and what about Rowlf? :sympathy:
Actually, I think I know the answer to this and have always respectfully disagreed with it. I've heard it reported that Jim Henson did not like to repeat himself so he wanted to mix it up with the cast of the Hour as not to be merely an updated version...
I wonder what Master Replica's "cash cow" product is? The one(s) that allow for the harder-to-sell/higher end products like the Pirates busts and Gonzos. :concern:
