To my knowlege these Muppet Star Wars figures are planned to be distributed by the Disney theme parks. I'm not certain just how much information you're going to get out of any company. These are probably being made on the cheap and that probably has more to do with the timeline than a set date...
I get that and second it. The Muppets do themselves a disservice when they try too hard. I feel Steve's Kermit used to do that (the "way to get down with your bad selves" MFS line and some TV appearances), but now he's settled in nicely.
The Rizzo "Girls Gone Wild" comment on Oz was terrible...
Thank you very much. My favorite Christmas time menu is probably the Muppet Christmas Carol one because it includes all the ghosts and main characters too. Other holdiay faves are the Valentine's Day with the Muppet couples and the Puppetry Celebration fantasy menu. These came out the best. I...
I always thought they should too. ;)
To answer your question - I don't know. They don't really say "forum" on them but I take that to be obvious. Originally the intention was to direct viewers to the main page to see all the updates, but there really aren't any this season. It's been a busy...
I liked the film; however it appears that it loses its focus at times. The only part I didn't like was Kermit being hit in the face with the Christmas tree bulb. Funny thing, I guess. The go-go alternate universe Scooter and rave-monkey Sam the Eagle were very funny IMHO. Of course those things...
That has to be the best likeness picture I've seen so far. Eyes not too creepily wide or squinted - just a nice relaxed pose that showcases his Animalness! Great job! :halo:
Very interesting. I could see Jim being a little upset about it. But I agree with Bernie - he's an agent, that's what they do. ;)
Also, I tend to refer to it as the FAUX News Channel. It's so infotaining with the misinformation. I tend to flip between Bill-O on Fox and Olberman on MSNBC. By...
I recall it being said that the Kermit poser is a fraction smaller than the real life actual Kermit. That could be it. When I saw Gonzo recently at the YBCA (with his friend Mr. Goelz) I couldn't get over just how tiny the puppet is! I just wanted to smoosh him, but I didn't. Not his type, I...
Technically Scooter should be slightly taller than Kermit, but in much of the poser head-to-toe images (some from Muppet Magazine) Scooter appears 3/4 of a head taller than Kermit. Gonzo's technically supposed to be shorter as well, but I think he's grown through the years. Muppet heights are...
Evidently Dark Crystal and Labyrinth are rumored to be in the works in the next year (or so). I just mention BluRay because early indicators are showing that HDDVD is going to dramatically underperform in holiday sales and BluRay has the support of Disney, Sony, Fox and Spielberg. Also since...
I am fairly inexperienced with soft foams and none of the self-concocted coating solutions I've devised for other balsa and yellowfoam projects have ever looked right to me. The least bit of shine on it and that kills the effect IMHO. But, then again it increases the life of the piece. That's...
I'm sure Terry's right about the color. Just know that most any PMS color that would come from Henson or Disney is based on a logo/cartoon/drawn version of the character - not the puppet. Considering foam density, lighting and different materials I'd probably "eye-it" to get it just right...
I get you and can't wait to get mine in a few weeks. I do understand the frustration when it comes to such a glaring discrepancy. Not everybody is creative (even with a marker). When you lay down 400 bucks for an item it's expected that these basic pesky issues would be resolved. I know that...
It really is just the formatting of exposure that needs to be updated with the Muppets. That's just marketing. It was whay Jim went to Disney in the first place. The problem is that people, including kids. can't find the Muppets and - most importantly - don't know to look for them! :zany...
General Good Advice
The world is full of people, I'm sure you'll find the girl that's right for you.
In the future of dating it's good to have some old stand-bys: the movies, picnic near a park or landmark you enjoy, a restaurant or cafe you know and like. It's also good to try and...
Yeah, but hardly considering Jim Henson was on the set so much that Rowlf should have had much more of a presence. I remember the Dog City bit, but not so much the Merlin one. Gotta go check that out again. I've been saving up the old stuff and watching it bit by bit until new stuff comes along...
Gonzo figure. Special to me 'cause I worked on him. :concern: And the back of his jacket has a fair amount of flat space for a writing surface. Big enough for a brief greeting or quote!
