I'm glad Warner Brothers did that. I'm getting a little sick of all the news channels falling in line with tabloid programs and heightening this tragedy with inventions, speculation and misstatements. With how slimy news has gradually gotten it's hard to tell if you’re watching CNN or TMZ. It's...
Amazon has been listing The Muppet Show Season Three as something that's coming at a to be determined time for a while now. Maybe this just means it's coming out sometime this year. It is my belief that Disney cleaned up some rights snags between the release of seasons one and two and they...
Method Muppet Man
I believe it was in the book, but it might have just been a personal anectode Spinney shared. It's been so long. But it goes like this:
:p :(
Caroll was filling in for Frank in a rehearsal, working Bert to Jim's Ernie. On a break Jim went to check the script and gave the...
How the heck are they gonna ship the bear? That's what I'm curious about. Dude is huuuuge. And you're so right about the mouth, WOErnie. The bear should sell like the frog.
Posing a few questions about posers...
 I don 't expect many, if any, of these to be answered really. Many are internal company practices and strategies that, by nature, should be kept from the public. I'm just wondering out loud.
How long can MR's company sit on stock before it has to...
That's what I'm thinking. I have absolutely no information on this, but 2,500 Gonzos were made and even the most avid fans seem to be holding back pre-ordering him. Also, I know from working in Muppet product that Piggy doesn't sell as well as the rest of the characters when pegged next to them...
Gonzo Poses
I think it could be either of the mentioned possibilities or both or, as stated in my article, it is because the pictures were taken by an evil monkey.
I have noticed that Ebay rip-off artists are using the unsightly Animal poser image from the MR website to print on watch...
Beautiful artwork as always, but i don't think i've seen the characters sparkle as much as they do in these glossy pages on the main site. I'm planning to order a book. Great stuff. The mule deserves star treatment! :)
I haven't pre-ordered a Gonzo. My thinking - there's 2,500 of them so the price might go down if he's not great-looking. Even if he is stunning, the Kermits took a while to sell so I'll have time to wait for the price to lower if patience overtakes my body (which I doubt if he looks great)...
I was talking about receiving the final product, not the prototype. No matter how things are planned, the final product can be (and usually is at least a little) different. This does happen quite often to companies of all types. I suspect they're waiting on seeing what an *actual* piece looks...
The reports on Gonzo have been vague. I know they admitted to "going back to the drawing board" or something with the design, but no one knows when exactly that was done and if the pictures on their site are before or after that process. 2,500 is a large edition. I'm not certain what the...
This is what I believe to be the blue neckerchief in question. :o
A while back I heard reports the Muppet performers, specifically Frank Oz, liked the Palisades action figures so I think they'd admire these things even more.
As for Piggy's style, for better or for worse I'm expecting her...
They've got to get that beautiful camera lense they used for Animal! LOL! I'm there with you. I'm thinking they want to have the product in their hands before snapping a photo. They made 2,500 blue weirdos. He needs a darn good picture (better than they've got now) to sell them all. :concern...
Oh, man...
Well, you never know with such franchise pictures. Could be funny, could be something else.
I'm just glad he never did that "Sprockets" movie that was planned. Nobody wants to see Myers in something that tight ever again! :o
