Grafiti posters like in the film are on every bus, billboard, bus shelter, subway stop (yes, there is a subway in San Francisco) taxi cab and building out here. There's no escaping them! He he. They say things like "Mom never liked you, Sarah Marshall" and "Yes, you do look fat in those jeans...
It's very cool! It has to be some sort of refined maquette or recast, but it seems to scale and authentic. My guess is that this is not a functioning puppet, rather it is a production model. That doesn't take away the cool factor.
There are Sarah Marshall posters everywhere in this city! They make me smile because Segel's the new Muppet movie's writer/director/actor and because his film looks darn funny! Plus it has Veronica Mars (Bell) and puppets too! What's not to like. :insatiable:
I'm sorry to hear that. I certainly don't think you were hateful. I've been known to post many times when I'm "on edge" :o. It's rather epic. Certainly no harm done. I just needed to make sure you knew I wasn't trying to insult the people who have given us starving fans such Muppety goodness in...
What the hey?
There was no fight in me. It's widely known and posted that recent Muppets projects have been influenced by Simpsons writers. For some reason you decided that I was speaking of Thatcher and others and kind of lashed out there before actually looking at exactly what was said or...
That was rather condescending and not completely accurate, but I'm letting that go because it likely wasn't intentional. go to imdb
Thatcher and Lewis worked on Oz and the Christmas special with Tom Martin. He's the one who worked on the Simpsons, Still Standing and other projects...
I also have a feeling that whatever Bill Barretta and Brian Henson were cooking up that some of the humor (if not some story elements) will make its way into this project. It makes sense that he'd [Segel] go straight to the performers first rather than rely on Simpsons staff backup. :coy:
I find that's the hardest part of moving, but all the other things you are going through are even tougher. My thoughts are with you. Oh, and I used to steal a doorknob when I moved. Got caught at that once. :o
I always thought the much talked about "new project" was basically some sort of new television movie special that was meant as a long-form pilot for a weekly show. I never really thought it was to be a theatrical release (not that there weren't several ideas in the very early stages of...
Currently my favorites are:
:flirt: Always enjoyed how groovy looking she turned out
:coy: Classic Wembley (even though my fraggle fave is Boober)
:scary: So glad Phillip went for this one.
I know most of y'all would think that Kermit, Gonzo or Scooter would be my smiley faves, but I...
I have a mental list of people that could be teamed with the Muppets, but I still say if the Muppets show up in top form with good writing it doesn't matter who they're with or what they're doing. (Still it would be nice to see Cyndi Lauper singing with them, but that's my dream) :o
:) Thanks everybody for your birthday greetings! My days have been a little bleak lately and your posts have really brightened the gloominess of turning 34. I don’t much act it or look it, but that’s the harsh reality. He he. There's a list of accomplishments I have a year to work on before the...
I think they're cute. Still the Kubricks are a better stylized figure for the character look. It's the particular style of this product that seems to be offputting some collectors. I'm not sure about my getting them, but I do like them.
The Muppets are a dysfunctional family with Kermit (a little bit crazy in his own right) doing the best he can to wrangle them all together. That's always been the core of the dynamic. That's what caused the imbalance in Muppets Tonight and other productions that scaled back Kermit. Also the...
With Disney owning Kermit and the likelyhood of Henson owning this particular property (probably like Emmet Otter) I don't feel too badly about someone burning a reasonably priced version. It is still wrong. :shifty:
Foo Foo and Muppy don't really talk so I get what Beau is saying here. That dog character in Swamp Years just didn't play that well. The armadillo should have been in the picture instead! I just didn't like the entirety of the project and still am dismayed at Steve Whitmire's noted pride in it...
Yeah. Muppets Tonight really seemed to be hitting its stride when it was cancelled. The Friday night time slot adjacent to Urkel didn't help - and it appears they kind of made fun of that fact, along with other outside tinkering, in the Grouper/Rickels/Coolio episode. :shifty: None of my college...
