This product was mentioned at Toy Fare. It looked cuter in the other snapshot. This one looks like a generic brown fluffy monster. None of his Ludoisms are present. He was a very expressive creature design. This surprises me.
On another note, it appears that Bigbadtoystore.com has sold out...
Maybe you should send them yours and get paid for it! NECA makes some attractive stuff, but I can't imagine their Skeksis being any more beautiful than yours. Um...I hope it doesn't seem like I'm flirting with your Skeksis. He is rather pretty, though. :scary:
I see Wanda Sykes mocking that sort of commercial rather than participating in it. I'd love to see if she includes a bit on it in her stand up act once her contract comes up.
That apple seems aggressive to me. I'm almost frightened to go near an Appleby's!
These were advertised as being from MR in their newsletter. Pom-poms aside I still don't agree with the practice of any company passing the buck of responsibility and quality when their name is stamped on the product. Nonetheless we don’t know who proposed and designed the figures until Travis...
It is my belief that MINDstyle has some very talented artists working on these pieces, but have very little Fraggle knowlege beyond conceptual art. Don't get me wrong, they have some beautiful items. I purchased the I Am Plastic book that features much of their art pieces and admire much of the...
Art and Life and Self Promotion
I have also found there's also a fine line between faux modesty and self depreciation. Therefore, just do what you do, think from your heart and your gut on such things rather than intellectual dissection. Over-thinking such issues leave me unhappy every time...
I don't see MINDstyle as being as much of a fan-friendly company like others we're used to. The black-out has been concerning me too. I don't think they understand what they have on their hands: that the Fraggles aren't Sesame Street letters and numbers characters or that there is great strength...
If the MR name is on an item there's no passing the buck. They have say. To be honest, these seem like items that should be sold through the Disney.com store. After the initial sale of the Muppets to Disney the Mouse created a few products that directly reflected simplified versions of the...
I also think Travis will help boost the Muppet's momentum at Master Replicas. Your rat idea is really cool. Might I one-up you and say that each figurine should include a rat, penguin or chicken somewhere in the design or seperately added in the package.
I just don't get the relevance of...

:search: New Clip and Report on Rotten Tomatoes
There be a clip! It's just a screentest, but if Jonze thinks this is "cringey" the final piece will look amazing. Early audience tests have reportedly been of ignorant people who think it's too...
Now when I look at my Muppets they seem like they are looking back! See what I mean?
No, I don't have a bunny, a chicken or any mosquitoes so stop asking! :halo: :concern: :) He he.
I tend to think that Gonzo's jacket is suppposed to be that way to match the puppet. The production puppets of Gonzo appear to have length to the coats to help cover the Muppeteer (Dave in this case) parts. I don't feel the jacket is that long and Muppets do tend to have long "monkey arms" so...
Who is the target market?
I am not seeing a clear feasible mission for the figurines. The likenesses are okay, but were handled better by Palisades. These appear to be more expensive and less dynamic.
The opportunity with figurines is to capture a moment in time. Animal should have one...
