A little bit of pragmatism
:wisdom: I believe psychiatry can be good if one finds the right therapist for the right reasons. I also think medication works for some people, but the problem is that usually those who need it don't want it and those who don't think it will fix whatever ails them...

Another one of those annoying top lists was just posted on mis-matched couples in cinema: regular Joes with A-list beauties. The surprise is that Roger and Jessica Rabbit are number one!
I've always thought a Roger Rabbit sequel set in the times of McCarthyism would beautifully fit the timeline and be an interesting backdrop for a story. An all-star cartoon musical about McCarthyism. Bring it on!
I know. Pictures of that event would be incredible... ;)
With this exhibit it's the seeing these puppets live that's the real thrill. Any fan that saw pictures of this event would also plan on going in the future when it comes around. Actually, seeing what's in store for them could actually...
The latest Goofy short subject paired with National Treasure 2 was a crowd pleaser. I think they'll do more of that. Personally I think Disney should create 2 or more classic character shorts per year. One for the Summer movie season the other for Winter films. It could happen.
Hulk Smash!
This film and its theatrical cut gets a solid B grade from me. I can see that there's more than a popcorn movie there that it wants to be, but this film worked great for me. I hope Marvel wises up and releases an Edward Norton cut like New Line did for his version of...

Empire Film Group: exposure
:search: I was reading Blu-ray.com and found a little article about Empire (the film company with the Henson bio film rights). This has nothing to do with the Henson film, but it does show that they are a young company on the rise with real prospects. However, they...
All companies are now releasing on Blu-ray (the chosen format now that HDDVD is now kaput), but every company has a different style of incorporating their seamless menus.
When the viewer wants to look at different features they access the menu and it pops up while the film is playing. Some...
Back to the Chipmunks
I just purchased the Blu-ray disk of "Alvin & the Chipmunks" for my partner's collection. I'll report back about it when we get around to watching it, but from what I've seen in store displays it looks fantastic and the menus are beautiful. I mention that because Blu-ray...
You'd think that would be true but sequels are notorious for going horribly wrong. Sometimes it seems the story comes after all the star wrangling PR and marketing.
There have been many rumored sequel pitches over the years and some don't include Bob Hoskins' inclusion. So I wouldn't take it...
Here's a thought. Dress Kermit up as a groomsman...er...frog as suggested and have him sitting on the table guarding the wedding gifts. It gets him there but also up and out of the way as not to steal the spotlight.
Incidentally I remember touching up a bride and groom Miss Piggy and Kermit...
That feud's over and in the rear-view mirror for most concerned. I'm glad to have the nice glossy DVD release from a few years ago. They might have to talk to one another for a future Blu-ray release and hopefully create some kick-butt special features, but I fear the ship has sailed on poor...
:) This is a very old thread, but this comment warranted a response.
"Who Framed Roger Rabbit" is one of my favorite films. I saw it theatrically four times during its initial release, purchased it on VHS, Laserdisc and both DVD versions. I suffered through "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" to see...
On Eisner
Eisner is responsible for revitalizing Disney and strengthening the brand into finely tuned corporate machine in the 80s. He encouraged the best out of the parks, television, live action film and finally - animation. However it was not Eisner that put the shine on the animation...
