Like this old thing from an archived Tough Pigs article? I think this Fozzie just saw the other cartoon drunk Fozzie and is frightened. I don't know which one is scarier?
I've said much about style and character design, but what ultimately seems to be missing is that distinct and effortless...
I just heard about an alternate version of Frank Oz' Stepford Wives that sounds better than the incongruent mess that was released theatrically. Does anybody have any details about this? I heard the ending was darker and the plotline made more sense. I’m thinking this was the film Frank wanted...
Like all good art the figures are finally appreciated once the creator (in this case Palisades) has passed on. :sympathy:
In fact, the secondary market is really hot for these figures and it will only get hotter. I just hope with the revival of Muppetdom that the figure creating duties go to...
After voicing my criticisms I feel like saying a few of the good things. I agree that the sets, colors and composition look great here. It also appears the writing and themes are very vintage Muppet Show.
I still hope the artist revises Kermit and Fozzie. It's not like they are bit players...
I have to admit that Rowlf, Janice and Floyd look pretty good here, but I don't really like the pig. Kermit just...man...this first comic is reportedly all about Kermit so it'll be pages of this stuff. I'm not thrilled about my personal fave Scooter in this piece either. It looks like Sweetums...
I found a little something...
I have checked out Langridge's stuff and it's not bad, but his Muppet renditions are unimpressive so far and this Kermit is almost grotesque. I cannot understand any company releasing such an item that the majority of fans won't like. You'd think this fella didn't...
So much Muppety goodness reported over at Muppet Newsflash today!
A real special about the election coming this year, a new Christmas special next year, Pepe's book, Piggy's book, the Muppets have a comic (and there will likely be the final two Muppet Show DVD releases) all leading up to a...
Ooh! A Muppet drawing centered on Link. I love it! Very nice drawing. I think it's very neatly colored (don't know how you'd do that without Photoshop, so I'm impressed) and the character interpretation is attractive. They are quite expressive and well posed. I also like the Muppet choices. I...
Here's a widescreen monitor wallpaper that I cleaned up and mocked up from an artists movie poster from 79. Feel free to copy it, crop it or do what you want. I recently added the Jims. I wish they would offer some cooler and official stuff like this over at Muppets.com. In time, I'm sure. :)
Great clips this week! Pepe's drive thru is my favorite so far.
It looks like they've lost the Newsman segments for a while. Maybe they're retooling it? It's tweaky-hard to move over the main viewing screen on my computer and that darn bag covers up the expandable clip library. It...
You make a perfect point - and that's what was planned last year when the Muppets and the Disney Kids (like the very ones in SDC) were to appear together in short informative Disney Channel commercial interstitials about technology. Sounds weird, but that was the plan. I think some were shot...
It's the noses. Same with the manga. They have people noses instead of gelfling noses. The faces in general look a little too people like. It's like they got so close with the other details and then forgot the most important part - their faces. :scary:
Studio DC wasn't the evolution - merely an advertisement to the younger crowd whose support is necessary in justifying big budgets for future Muppet projects so they can evolve and/or rise to a higher place in entertainment. The new Muppet film will definitely be nothing like Studio DC so I...
Mini-rant about the artist
I agree that a sampling of different artists would make for a better comic. I see an opportunity for this to be a finer piece of art - maybe even graphic novel quality - rather than some cheesy doodles that only represent Fozzie Bear because the title says so. I...
That must have been an interesting experience! :)
The Joker represented pure chaos in TDK. The character was void of human emotions - not even bad emotions like greed motivated this character. He's merely chase and destroy. That's what I found creepy. How do you deal with a criminal like that...
Glad you liked Dark Knight! I was wired for hours after seeing it. A fantastic film.
Box office grosses are funny. It's nice to see things received well by others so I track the grosses for that reason. Wish I had a piece of this action! www.boxofficemojo.com is where I go to get the most up...
