:shifty: Muppet Christmas Carol Menu :concern:
This menu is inspired directly from the movie. Snow falls in the composition. Scrooge appears from far away; head to toe in the center of the frame. The Muppet Central greeting eclipses him and morphs into Merry Christmas in white letters trimmed...
Oooh. Some new pictures of Janice and without her ponytail! At least one new good Animal picture too. Janice didn't sound like anyone who's done her before. Floyd sounds different too and strangely so does Zoot. Or am I just hearing things? Still it's very cool to see them front and center.
Woah! This group appears to know what they're doing. This sort of trio-logic reminds me of the Kermit-Fozzie-Gonzo dynamic. Early reviews indicate this is going to be good. I hope it is and also that the characters have found a stable voice. A voice that isn't too kiddie or snarky, but one that...
I always liked Sports Night. Some of the best writing in television. Sports Night was the show that had to die to give us West Wing. :attitude:
Gilmore Girls was also an under-rated show.
Awww, thanks. I like your Scooter idea and actually know that they have a nice high-res picture on file of Scooter's back. I wonder if they did do a shifty-eye Sam if it would be hologrammed? Maybe not the best idea, but holograms are the thing everyone's doing these days.
I wouldn't be...
I agree. Scooter needs to get his standing back, but it's unlikely. Rowlf's unlikely too due to it would mean a brown-colored box and that doesn't exactly translate into advertising gold.
Gonzo's a must for one of the slots, but my choice for the final cover would be in this order: Scooter...
...but word is that he really tried to ruin the edit. Thank frog that didn't happen. :o
The original trilogy has a craftsmanship, charm and classic movie-making resonance that is missing the new trilogy. The new films are slick and attractive, but contain too much digital whim rather than...
I just read the article last night. EW's critics are known for being hit-or-miss, but their also notoriously vicious when they don't like something. I'm glad this not only agreed with them - it also won a rave!
I believe VMX received the same score of A- and they enjoyed Eric's performance...
I understand how tastes can be different and respect your opinion. Pan's Labyrinth was really about a child's escapism from her real life horrors. I don't believe it was intended as a fantasy film even though it was advertised as one. I still found it beautiful.
Both Hellboys are good films...
PSavieri-
Your drawing is spectacular! Welcome to the forum.
Saw you over at Tough Pigs posting as well. I agree with you 100% about Miss Piggy. I wish she looked the way depicted in your artwork.
I think most of the other characters are okay. I know you had a bone to pick with Gonzo...
I see what you mean. I do think some people were offended by Scooter's (alternate universe) cage dancing and Sam's (alternate universe) rave dancing with pacifier (a well known accessory for the abuse of a particular substance) and glowsticks. Both really are harmless and I liked Scooter's bit...
There was a Dot Bar and Lounge in San Francisco's Japantown (proof), but I think it closed. Word was the staff was uppity toward the customers and would often forget about their orders. It always made me think of Mrs. Bitterman.
Poppys (and the reference) were a part of the original Oz story...
