I think the moderation would agree that's a better way to say it. :)
From the joy I have always heard he brought all those around him, I sure wish I could have known him! One of my favorite photos of Richard Hunt is where he is wearing the Animal puppet and there are kids visiting and he's...
*Moderator Hat On :busy: "
It is an assumption only, it wasn't publicly notified to anyone as such and we cannot say he was. This is also one of the reasons we have the rule about not discussing Muppeteer lives because the assumptions of never released information create rumors and more, plus...
I hope there is something more to take from that book than that. He'd always been truthful about his insecurities, but I hope his successes and an appreciation for his work come first and foremost of his career rather than reading a book that focuses more toward the negative side of his story...
I'm still surprised that this thread is 12 pages long of posts and nothing positive has come of it yet. A circle of conversation hasn't promoted the website or better feelings, and I don't understand why it's going on and on.
I agree with Pooh that we all have to be respectful of each...
It's not about the simpleness of negativity, it's the way it's handled. We can't all escape negativity, but a better way for folks to post is to be constructive and not deflating.
As far as the projects you listed, some of them were torturous tales, but at the end you and I learned...
I think the article shows truth and promise. Hopefully, they won't let us down at the Mouse House, and it doesn't seem like they will. What they are planning right now is what they should have been doing 3 years ago, though.
I'm happy to see they are beginning to work on bringing the...
That makes sense.
I saw the article, too, about the stars and I'm wondering about those. I know Uma Thurman and she could be very funny with the Muppets (as long as there are no lame Tarantino references to date the show), but I do not recognize any of the other names.
Well, Bloomberg I...
My thing with comics is that life is so stressful as it is, I really wish comics were more about being funny than something they are playing off of for their popularity or, as was mentioned before, how much of a soap opera they can get out of them.
I think it's going to be great! I just feel it in my bones. It's the kind of thing that I don't feel worried about at all--I do worry that the Muppets will get in a Holiday Special kind of rut, but this will be a good holiday special!
I think that two mods can be a good example for others to follow…IF they follow it. J The problem lies not in the few number of moderators, but in the posts of the multitudes. If members consider their posts carefully before they post, there won’t be a need for policing threads and we can go...
Did you know that Jim Henson made puppets and filmed a pilot for a TV series of The Wizard of Id? I wish I could find the article about that (and then wish we could all see the show). Does anybody have more information about this?
Also, there was a Hagar the Horrible animated TV special...
Considering that there are Muppet pigs, chickens, and cows--even lobsters--I suppose it fits under "food" doesn't it? Then, Sam kind of makes it political. Doozers are always working, so Muppets also work under 'business,' and as far as drink? Well...hmm. There are Muppet fish, so that...
I don’t see the community going downhill. I just think the membership needs to better police themselves so moderation doesn’t have to, at which point complaints arise when we DO have to police threads (which IS our jobs). As far as arguing goes--I don’t get it. I still don’t understand why...
Davis may still be involved somehow. I'm going off memory, and my memory stinks!
I didn't know there was a FBOFW show! That's cool--how'd I miss that? When I'm at a computer I can see videos on, I need to check that out.
As I recall hearing, I don't think Jim Davis even draws Garfield any longer, although his name appears on the strip. I think someone else does his ghosting for him and he approves it.
I feel certain with Paul Williams involved it will be a good mix of song and story. I hope that, whoever has been involved in the Muppets.com and new Youtube.com videos, will be involved with this project!
