Yeah, a Muppet takeoff on the Sword and the Stone and the rest of the Arthurian legend would be kind of neat. And as I recall, for one special the Muppets did do a spoof of the Three Musketeers.
This probably belongs over in the fan fiction slot, but I'm trying my hand at doing a story in...
I had a look at the cast list for MWoO, and the screenshots.
It looks kinda like Scooter's wearing green contact lenses in that photo, unless it's the lighting. Either way, he looks right fetching.
Right on.
By the way, Renee, I think that you're not the only one who's had Richard pop up in your dreams.
Early this morning, I dreamed that I had gone to New York to meet someone, only to not have that person appear at first. I started asking around, and then I learned that that person had...
Maybe he's a vampire (one of the truly nasty kind, that is, not the nice kind like the Count). Or maybe he's got a portrait of his older, wizened self hanging up somewhere, a la Dorian Gray.
Holy moly...so that's what happened to Scooter and Skeeter's father. And I've had a hunch that Richard was Sadie's husband, and that he was probably murdered.
I'd like to see Jim and Richard's ghosts appear and give Biff a piece of their minds.
Good grief...I'd say it's a toss-up between Floyd and Janice.
Lord knows I can at least talk like Janice, since her voice and mine are almost in the same range. Fer sure...
It's one of those moody, philosophical tunes, the kind you'd either slow-dance to or have a pity party to. I can see the most frequently roughed-up Muppets sitting together, slowly swaying from side to side with the beat.
"Everybody hurts, everybody cries...everybody hurts...sometimes." And...
I haven't seen Ghost of Faffner Hall, but since I like music as well as Muppets, it sounds like I would have been a fan.
I know people like Farkas Faffner; some of my ex-high school classmates come to mind.
All right, Renee, let's see Biff get what's coming to him. He's caused enough mayhem for the Muppet gang as it is.
Besides, at his young age, Scooter needs to have a nice full head of red hair.
I've said a lot of stuff on this subject since joining the forum, but it's a nice tribute for the Muppet crew's resident goof-off.
I do also think that Richard's up in heaven right now, doing Muppet routines with Jim before an audience of God, the rest of the Trinity and all the angels, etc...
The story is crazy with a capital C, and funny, too. I had a hunch that Sara would actually end up pregnant, whether or not the pills had anything to do with it.
Ah, well, it's about time that Scooter had some little gofers of his own, you know, to follow in his footsteps.
It's like Kermit said on one episode of VH1's 'I Love the '70s:' "Everybody listens to Miss Piggy, nobody gets hurt."
I sometimes visualize Miss Piggy's most frequent targets (Kermit, Scooter, Gonzo, etc.) sitting around and woefully singing 'Everybody Hurts' by R.E.M.
I think the Muppets started to decline after Jim and Richard died. I remember watching Muppet Treasure Island when I was eleven, and I said to myself, "There's something missing." I couldn't really put my finger on it, but I knew something was missing.
Nicely done, Renee. Col. Steve strikes me as the kind of guy who would be on the FBI's Most Wanted List (as well as the lists of the CIA, Scotland Yard, the Interpol, etc.)
Between Eli, Steve, the Hepatitis C and being separated from their parents at such a young age...I think someone needs to...
Thanks for the welcome, Count. Truth be told, I actually first stumbled across Renee's trilogy on fanfiction.net, so I've already read them, and I do like them. I think I'll look into getting a print copy eventually.
As for all the zaniness...well, I come from an exceedingly zany family, so I...
If Richard Hunt could see this, I bet he'd feel quite pleased with himself.
Then again, maybe he'd just make the heavens quake with a resounding "Your face!"
Who knows?
I ,too, would have to designate Richard Hunt as my favorite of the Muppeteers. The man sounds like he was a real laugh riot while he was with us, and an all-around nice guy to boot.
