I've done it before, but I'll do it again: William and Carrie, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G...okay, I'll stop.
Well, I guess the Muppet gang likes to be serious every now and then, maybe show that they're capable of things other than all-out-silliness (which seems to be the case whenever...
Storyteller: (doing some sewing on quilt) What's that cracking noise I just heard? Did one of you girls just break something in the kitchen?
MN: No, Storyteller, that was my neck. I've been hunched over a computer all day.
Storyteller: Dear, dear, you're not going to have any neck left by the...
Wow, sounds like scheduling is just as much a headache for you as it is for me. 'Course, around here the main problem is the school's scheduling network crashing when every single student on campus tries to log on all at once on their assigned days...
Princeton, you're not alone when it comes...
Nora: Erin's been out for a bit. It's exam week and all that.
MN: And you know the end can't come soon enough. Oh, well, all I've got left is a few essays to finish up and my English final on Friday.
Storyteller: Good luck.
MN: Thanks...oh, and guys, the quilt shipping-out date has been pushed...
Gotcha covered; that last message on Find-a-Grave was from me.
Like I said earlier, someone needs to correct that; instead of being interred in St. John the Divine, Richard's earthly self currently divides his time between New Jersey and Massachusetts.
Yeah, I heard about that, and I put in a little suggestion myself.
In honor of it being World AIDS Day and all that, I think we need to give Richard a hug. (goes over to the man and does just that)
In Room 7:
Nora: Something's burning...Erin, no, is that your brain?
MN: Wouldn't ya know it...just finished a rully murderous project for school and all my neurons are shot. (collapses)
Storyteller: Radish bars, stat! (grabs a pan of said treats, races over and forces MN to bite down on one)...
Storyteller: Good grief, you both come staggering in here looking like zombies! Do I need to talk to your bosses?
MN: Don't bother; my tenure at the paper is almost up.
Nora: Yeah, and Mrs. Farley can't be bothered these days.
Storyteller: Oh...remember how you said that your break can't come...
I'd say I identify the most with Scooter and Wembley.
But on a bad day I'm more like Boober...and when I'm silently seething I feel like Kermit when his face is scrunched up.
Nora: Once again, you guys, thanks for the party; I needed a good time after dealing with my assorted relatives.
MN: No problem.
Nora: You okay? You look like you're running a fever.
MN: I am, but it's more of a stress-and-angst fever as opposed to a cold or flu fever. The profs are piling on...
(chuckle) And you're obviously a lot nicer than the REAL Miss Piggy would have been, for the Divine Miss P. takes herself way too seriously at times. Take good care of your new wheels; sounds like you've certainly earned them.
Heralde, thanks for adding the link to the Academy Awards...
My mom's really excited; she adores Scred.
Yeah, Belushi was a real holy terror when it came to the Muppets...wonder if he ever subjected Jim and the gang to one of his verbal tirades during Gorch's run?
Well, my dad's kinda ribbed me about it once or twice, but we're all Muppet fans where I come from so it's no big deal, and my roommates and newspaper buddies are fans to some extent as well.
Back in high school, I mainly got teased for listening to "old" music instead of the hipper-than-thou...
Oh, Lord, it makes me think of that project I did last year for my university's second-year writing seminar. I did a thesis paper and an oral presentation on how commercials aimed at children took an unfair advantage of them through false advertising and pumped-up claims.
And it looks as if...
Aw, don't mention it.
Guys, apart from some last bits of necessary sewing, the quilt is pretty much done, and I've just posted an update photo for your viewing pleasure in my deviantART account. The link is in the AIDS quilt thread I started.
Okay, there are still a few minor touches that need to be added, like some final quilting and embroidery, but the quilt is pretty much done, and I've got a photo up:

And this time, the full-view photo will be a really large one, if you really want...
Around here, we don't dare go near the malls on Black Friday, lest we risk getting trampled. So we go to New York for the day instead. Lots more fun and a lot safer.
Ooooh, Skye and Ilikemuppets sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G...oh, never mind...
Guys, it's looking more and more like we won't have the quilt done in time for Dec. 1. Mom says there's too much still to be done, despite us being really close to completion. But we will have it done eventually...
