The Muppet Mindset has some nice articles on this topic:

I was reading an interview from The Muppet Mindset with Muppeteer "Gabriel Velez". And apparently, a woman once auditioned for the Muppets. Unfortunately she didn't know what to improvise. So, Lisa Henson encouraged her to try anything off the top of her head. So, the woman decided to improvise...
In some respects, the concept of the show seems like it's one of those things where i's so hilarious that it exists because it's so wrong. But than you actually watch it and it's just so uncomfortable to watch. It's great that you can laugh at it, I just can't.
Alright, I have one thing to say. This thread has clearly turned into the "shows I don't personally like thread", when it should be about shows that are actually "bad". Just because you don't like something doesn't make it bad. Taste does not equal quality. For instance, shows like Sesame...
No, but the thing is, even if Emilio, Sonia, Roscoe etc hadn't been hired than we would have gotten completely different characters based on whomever else they hired. And if they didn't have enough chemistry, than given the nature of the show, they would've been fired and replaced. Such is the...
Yeah, I see what you mean. AT is a hard show to get into. It sure took me a while to get used to it. It's just so different from anything that came before it, the humor, the art style.
Yes, those actors did make them special. But had they always been someone else, we wouldn't know the difference. I think that's what Oscarfan was saying. Bob, Susan and Gordon aren't the only actors out there with charm and about the same age.
It's really sad that pretty much the only Christian kids' shows that actually put in some effort were Veggie Tales, a show that started in the 90s, and Davey and Goliath, a show from the freaking 50s. That's a huge age gap between those two shows, which shows just how long people haven't been...
Yes, that was Tau with his dad and his pet dog "Puna".
This was actually about Barkley's third appearance since season 36. He was in the 40th season premiere (Big Bird considers Moving) and an episode in season 41 (The Happy Scientists). Both street scenes are on Youtube and I actually suggest...
Wow, "Alone at Sea" was pretty intense. [SPOILER="I didn't expect Jasper to come back so soon. "[/SPOILER] Clearly her and Lapis' relationship is a metaphor for abusive relationships.
EDIT: Oh, I see Drtooth literally just posted the same thing as me while I was writing my post.
ARGH, the...
Frankly, all the public speaking, conventions, public appearances etc, are giving the older actors far more work than Sesame Street has the last few years.
It doesn't seem like Bob or Emilio have any ill-feelings towards anyone. I'm sure they knew better than anyone that this day was coming. I'm also confident that they understand why they were let go. Your probably much angrier than they are about this.
Well, this has officially made national news. It's trending on Twitter right now as well.
What really bothers me is that everyone is blaming HBO. Seriously, HBO had nothing to do with any of these changes! I bet most of the whiny people shouting about their childhoods dying and saying they're...
