I guess i'll count it as the same era considering we lump the entire "Around the Corner" period together even though the head writer changed from Norman Stiles to Lou Berger in season 29.
I really like the new look, it's so much more inviting. Plus, I think they may have upgraded their system because the website isn't as slow as it used to be, at least on my computer.
I really liked the roller coaster episode. It was a nice spin on the usual, Steven finding out he had a new power, only this time it was one of the gems. Which was nice because it gave Peridot a little more development. Plus, I think this was the most we've seen Mr. Smiley in any episode. I hope...
I've been a bit worried about that myself. Clearly Zoe is sticking around because they just recast her and it seems she'll be there more often next year. Baby Bear on the other hand has barely appeared on the show for both seasons 45 and 46.
Yup, I noticed before Shrek, it was somewhat rare for family films to have more than two movies. And then they had a fourth, now more films are having four films instead of just three. But gosh, I really wish they would've stopped after the second one. The first Shrek was good but the sequel was...
It definitely feels similar to an early kid show from PBS.
Some people have also called the show "Rainbow" the british version of Sesame Street. It's another show from the 70s that had a cast of puppets and humans. I haven't seen much of it but it sure has a pretty catchy theme song:
I first saw that special when I was five and it's the reason I decided to be a puppeteer and what really started my interest in the production of TV shows in general. I was especially fascinated by how Big Bird worked. Prior to that, I thought since he was so tall, there was no way a human could...
Here's a somewhat recent interview with Camille. In it she talks about her whole career as well as her spiritual life. She goes by Camille Kampouris now. It's pretty cool considering how rare it is we get to hear from her:
Your right, those are some pretty big guest stars. This is just a guess but, I think it was because of the show's fleeting demographic. If you remember, the ratings hit a bit of a slump in the 90s and very early 2000s due to growing competition. Plus it doesn't seem like there were quite as many...
That reminds me, I wonder if that was the case with Steve Whitmire since Ernie only appeared in those scenes with Bert. Because if Steve was available for much of the filming, I feel like it was a missed opportunity to not have Kermit at least make a cameo.
EDIT: Never mind, I just remembered...
