My impression is they dropped it to cater to a younger audience. I don't fully understand it, the show seemed to be doing just fine before, but all the recent changes seem to be trying to get back that younger demographic.
I'm definitely getting a classic Joe Raposo vibe from this one. I like how they even put in the "children's" voices in there shouting out the answers like the old segments. It's always cool to see that the Muppeteers are still as big Muppet nerds as we are.
That looks awesome! Who knows, maybe this'll be the new norm for filmmaking one day. Maybe we'll actually be able to go to movie theaters and really feel like we're there in the world of the film. It's very fascinating and exciting.
My only concern though. With the VR cameras, it shoots things...
Gabriel Valez uploaded some highlights from the controversial puppetry workshop that Disney held in 2005 to find alternate performers for the classic Muppet characters:
If you ask me, I think Artie actually makes a pretty good Kermit, the voice is a little off, but i'm sure that would improve...
You mean he's going to be a dad again.
It's always been odd to me to think that Kel has children. I know his characters are fake, but I just can't picture him as a functional adult, lol.
One thing I don't understand though is, how come Big Bird wasn't in the video? We heard his voice very clearly, but we didn't actually see him. Matt Vogel was clearly available since he was playing The Count. Even if he wasn't available, it seems any performer could've doubled for him since he...
Yes, most of the original cast left after about a year. Even Lin Manual Miranda himself left the show. Such is the nature of broadway. Cast members come and leave shows all the time.
Yes, Animal does love his bunny rabbits:
You know what I wanna see? A special or a sketch where Animal tries to save a group of bunnies while Big Mean Carl tries to eat them.
The cast sings yet another version of "K is for Kindness" with former Hamilton cast member and SST composer Chris Jackson. A surprising amount of characters make appearances here. You have your more major characters like Elmo, Abby, Cookie Monster, the Count, Rosita, Ernie and Telly. But there's...
Here are some puppet web shows that I enjoy:
Here's Phoebe the Owl, played by Muppeteer Ryan Dillon. Some really funny stuff here:
Living With Larry. The puppeteer does a very good Eric Jacobson impression:
Hare's Special Show:
FrogFan76, the "Bestest Muppet fan on the internet":
The two most recent episodes have a pizza guy that everyone loves (except for Jeff) that turns out to be a creep. Also, I think he dies at the end (i'm not sure).
Anyway, the 3rd season premiere was a sweet little episode. Looks like Sumo's going to school in West Aberdale now. I wonder if this...
I'm not sure if this is true or not but, some people claim that the reason they don't have a sister in the rip off is because China wouldn't let the show have more than two kids, because of that whole child limit thing.
Has anyone seen the episode "The Copycats" yet? It was a nice little middle finger to that Chinese rip off of Gumball we were talking about earlier in the thread. It was great.
Also, looks like they changed Gumball and Darwin's voices again. It's a bit more noticeable this time around. So it...
Well, it looks like the usual long alphabet sign that we've seen in every version of the song, but we don't actually know for sure if they're redoing the song again. It's very likely that that's what they're doing, but I don't wanna assume anything until it's confirmed.
