Yeah! I relate to this 10000%. I remember when I was younger I kept going to bed without any sheets on and my mom would wake me up to put some on, and I would always have a mini-breakdown and just end up laying on the floor for several hours until I finally made myself do it.
This is all great advice! Numbers 9 and 10 are especially great reminders to me because i'm often waaayy too critical of my writing and rarely show any part of it too anyone.
Yeah, Dreamworks has been really hit and miss, pretty much since the beginning. And beyond that, they had a reputation for being the edgier, slightly more adult alternative to Disney, but now with movies like Home and Boss Baby it really seems like they're trying to become Disney.
And it's weird 'cause ABC's other comedies weren't even like that! Of all the shows they would try to make adult (i.e. snarky and sexual) who decided it should be the Muppet one?
This is really exciting! I love that they've been making all these live appearances recently. It's like they're on this (very slow moving) world tour. I'm really excited for you Conor and anyone else going. And hey, if they're willing to fly all the way to London maybe that means some of us will...
That was really good. I love that the performers got to write it. I really hope they get to write more when the new show comes out. I love Sam the Eagle's reaction when they're all dancing, lol.
In this day and age I think more and more people want shows with more character development and heavier story arcs. I mean, kids cartoons are becoming more complex and arc heavy, we're even starting to see it a lot with comedies such as The Good Place, Last Man On Earth, and Unbreakable Kimmy...
I would like to see slightly more emphasis on different characters. I mean, it's been Kermit and Miss Piggy's will they/won't they/they are/are they/used to be relationship for 40 years now. It's an interesting dynamic, but I would like them to put a little less emphasis on it.
Even then, I don't think any of the Muppet shows have ever technically had different canons from each other, aside from Muppet Babies.
The movies, on the other hand are a totally different situation.
And look at it this way, what better way for a performer to grow with a character than to have them perform on a consistently running TV show, as opposed to just a few talk show appearances a year.
To be fair, I think there was some confusion as to who everyone was talking about. There's a difference between the politician right and left, and the everyday citizen right and left (and middle).
I usually go to ProjectFreeTV, they have a bunch of links to lots of websites. The only trouble is, they keep changing their domain so it can be hard to find it sometimes.
