Maybe thats where the problem lies...most Muppets came out of a performance...some work and some don't (and we never see them again) FOr Skeeter it would be a case of doing this backwards...the character already exsist but in a different format. Thsi might cause disney and the Muppets to be...
hmmm.. so price point is the issue...how about smaller model or action figure size replicas.... real fur...poseable... I bet those would sell...and it would be a way of getting toys that aren't the same as Palisades because I know if new action figures came out it would be hard to buy any...
Hmmm...couldn't they have just kept the original movie poster rather than this zoomed in/photoshopped piece. Its akward how they put Walter up top too.
This might be my favorite song from the new movie...definately something a muppet fan (or Puppeteer in my case) can relate to. I'd rather be a very manly muppet any day of the week though.
Hmmm ... my kids like muppets and puppets but not really their wish lists as far as Christmas goes. My five year old collects smurfs and has for the last couple of years. The two year old is into strawberry shortcake. They both like Sesame street so there will be some Muppets under the tree for...
So does anybody know where we can write to get an autographed picture of Walter(and Peter Linz too)? He really is becoming one of my top favorite muppets..... I would love to have a picture of him to hang next to my signed Kermit picture at work.
If it helps the audience I saw it wiht last night thought that part was hysterical. Its really hard for me to narrow down my favorite part. My 5 year old daughter however says she likes when Walter brushes his teeth, and keeps say "I can't believe I fell for Muppetman".
Went to see it a third time tonight and there were children in there and what looked like a group from a retirement community. Both groups laughed and seemed more into the movie than any movie I've seen in recent years
I'll have to check for that shirt for my girls. We found Christmas shirts for them at Target to wear for Christmas cards this year though. Had Kermit Miss Piggy animal and Fozzie on them. They also have lots of jackets and sweatshirts at Target for Boys and girls.
Hmmm... I think marketing people are not so on the ball. I know some of you aren't big Smurf fans around here but my daughter collects these (she's 5 1/2 and she has been collecting them for almost three years... well before the movie came out). Anyways we were excited when the movie came out...
It was nice to see Scooter so prominately in the new film. I hope that someone comes out with a Scooter plush though... I miss my old one from when I was little :( When I was young he was my favorite... probably more Fozzie now, but there is always a special plac ein my heart for Scooter. I...
I sure hope we see a lot more of Walter in the future... he's jsut such an amazing character. I love these little videos with him especially interviews and such.
I think the muppets did well enough... and I think there is more awareness of muppets as I see children at school talking about them. I think the DVD will sell quite well. I don't think there done yet :)
So was I . I did a search on this article today and was surprised how many local stations published this as well. Kind of neat to have CNN call (I wasn't home :( )/ and e-mail me about the muppets. I know its a small thing but definately something I'll remember being a part of.
hmmm... I got an autographed picture by Steve Whitmire and it amazes me the effort they made to keep Kermits autograph looking the same....anyways back on topic. I think from what I've read that Jim kept in touch with many of them...some more than others. It seems like some people like Harry...
Interesting comment on Toys R Us too...they are all sold out of the few Muppet items (puppets and what nots) they had even though they were a tad more costly than most toys.
