Jim Henson Idea Man
Remember the life. Honor the legacy. Inspire your soul. The new Jim Henson documentary "Idea Man" is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
I love the rabbit's multiplying. lol Great gag since the Tex Avery days. lol But yeah, it could have been more high brow I agree. I really like how JHC has a decision for their more TV-MA on the edge stuff. I'm a proud supporter of adult puppetry :) I remember Brian saying that with Puppet Up...
My Polywog Ways from Sesame which I already posted is one of my favorite Kermit musical numbers. Kermit doing a nightclub performance. lol I love his robe. :)
I would have loved it if he had a pipe in his hand to match the look and it blows bubbles, the ol' pipe gag of course. lol
Though this...
1. Are Kermit and Piggy married?
I'm probably on Kermit's side, no. It's all in the pig's mind.
2. If no do you think they should get married?
Nah, it'll ruin all the gossip fun. lol
3. Would you ever like to see Kermit and Piggy have "children"
(just like what Frank Oz said on his recent...
Yeah It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie was the last Muppet production involving The Jim Henson Company although I think JHC still build The Muppets for The Muppets Wizard of Oz because they were already in pre-production with that while the Disney Deal was happening I think.
I just took...
I'd love to do something with The Jim Henson Legacy in some way. I know Jim's history off the top of my mind. I've studied Jim's life since I was a kid. There's so many great things about Jim. His talent, his sense of humor, being so caring to people, his business sense and his creativity...
Totally, I'm surprised there wasn't much discussion about it. I'm sure it's okay to talk about this on the forum right? I remember just hearing that JHC wanted a little more money which is totally understandable in terms of funding other projects and such but Disney thought it was too much and...
Though in my opinion on it, I think the golden rule in Muppet Movies is that the characters play even more fictional versions of themselves. For example I remember hearing that when Dave Golez and Gonzo were somewhere probably Barns and Noble or something Gonzo admitted that he wasn't an alien...
Well not on film in 1970, mainly the group picture within the link I posted. That was the first picture of the Sesame Muppets and the regular Muppets together I believe.
Yes your right, Ernie & Bert's appearances. By the way, I wanted to ask this question for a long time. Wasn't Ernie and Bert...
I'm always looking for Jim Henson interviews and audio and print interviews, he's my #1 hero and I just love to hear his philosophy. I like to consider myself a historian kind of, I've got all the books, but what's so interesting is as soon as I thought that I've seen everything form Jim's time...
Personally I'm different. I don't like how Kermit and Miss Piggy are now a couple so it seems, to me it's totally out of character. Sure Kermit sort of dated Miss Piggy from time to time but I liked it when things were mysterious. Piggy says one thing and Kermit says it's all not true, etc. lol...
Same here, agree 100%. The eyelids to go all the way back and have a ribble on them like the Gonzo's before and this Puppet Heap's Gonzo's nose is way to thick.
Though one of my favorite episodes from the final season was the Marty Feldman episode where The Muppet Show cast and the Sesame Street cast unite probably for the first time since 1970.

I can still remember...
Jim Henson Academy of Achievement I think it's called, it's under podcasts. I downloaded last night I think and I decided to listen to it well I got to finish listening to it. First I heard applause then Jim's voice and my broke a giant smile on my face. WOW, what a rare find. Before I listen to...
You know what really cracks me up about Kermit and Miss Piggy is around the time when Miss Piggy was becoming hugely popular and the time of The Muppets Take Manhattan. I remember reading a quote, I don't remember where I read it from but how Jim and Frank wanted to really mess around with the...
Interesting that you mentioned about The Jim Henson Hour on DVD because I suggested it to Lionsgate a few weeks ago. I told the person right on the phone that if they can release Dog City and Song of The Cloud Forest then why not contact The Jim Henson Company and Disney so they can release The...
One of my favorite Kermit moments is well of course the ultimate footage that Muppet fans would love to get their hands on including myself. lol Kermit's famous "What the H*** was that about?" line from The Muppet Show Pitch Tape that Disney editted out of the DVD and was shown at MuppetFest...
Though I thought Muppets Tonight was quite close actually, same with MuppeTelevision from The Jim Henson Hour. Sure it wasn't The Muppet Show and totally agree, it wouldn't be right to revive it without Jim, Jerry Juhl and the original Muppeteers. Technically Frank (who's of course retired from...
