Jim Henson Idea Man
Remember the life. Honor the legacy. Inspire your soul. The new Jim Henson documentary "Idea Man" is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
I would think it would be the other way around since Faffner had Muppet Show Muppets in the background like Mopatop but Bunny Bicnic only had Bean who would later be a main stream Muppet from 1989-1992 mostly. He was seen in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie and I think Disney had made...
I'm just curious because both seem to have The Muppets in it, and even the show Moppatop Shop from the UK had a lot of The Muppets from The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, and the Jim Henson Hour. Since Disney owns The Muppets and The Jim Henson Company still has a few of Jim's work left like the...
I just got digital cable and a DVR for the first time not long ago and noticed that I have the Hub channel. I wanted to DVR some Henson shows on there like Fraggle Rock and any other ones but I couldn't find it on the search so I was just curious.
Oh okay then. Thanks again for answering my question. I know it kind of sounds like a ridiculous one but in a modern world where anything seems to be copyright infrigment, I like to be as cautious as I can. :)
How about in terms of film, say if I'm making a direct to DVD puppet movie, would it still be the same principle regardless? Even in terms of distribution like a film festival film or something like that?
Yep, I totally remember the 90s. That's my childhood. My best friend (who I knew him since we were 8) told me that he discovered Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon and I discovered them on TNT plus my Grandmother always bought those public domain videos with famous cartoons on them, every video had the...
It's a typical Elmer Fudd / Yosemite Sam situation. Any character with a gun that doesn't work, the character would look inside and it would blast in their face even when they don't pull the trigger. It's cartoon logic I think it's called. lol It's like psychics within the cartoon universe.
I thought the Hong Kong Phooey one was bad, it's like Shrek, Ice Age and Madagascar. Completely Juvenile. Thought the urinal cake think I sort of laughed at but it would have worked better with Stimpy then a classic Hanna Barbera character that doesn't do gross out jokes. Marvin was better...
It just upsets me when great works of comedic art is redesigned in a way where it sells out to the hip crowd of this generation. What I loved about cartoons from the 40s and 50s, the originals as well as when comedy was art, it was done in such a creative way that didn't only make people laugh...
I bought the Yoda one a couple of times but the latex on the eyes kept wearing out over right. I have one now on my computer desk and as much as I'd love to put batteries in it and hear Yoda's voice, I hate for the same problem to happen again. lol By the way when ever there's a Yoda merchandise...
June Forey is great. Though how come she's not Witch Hazel anymore? It's her and Frank Welker, they are probably the longest working voice actors who are still with us, bless them :)
I'm starting to get into Tiny Toons and Animaniacs again. Some of the Ren & Stimpy folk like Eddie Fitzgerald...
As for me, I love movies with fast pace non-stop gags like the Zucker Brothers films and Mel Brooks films. So I won't mind if they packaged gags through out, as long as it's true to the Termite Terrace days, and there's barely any self censorship that's all I care about. That's like Tex Avery...
By the way, I wanted to ask about Doug. There's two versions, the classic Nickelodeon one which I love and the Disney one where Billy West isn't in it. I only seen the movie, anyone seen the Disney version? Is it as good?
I love Stimpy's Fan Club, that and Fake Dad and the Carbunkle Cartoon animated episodes are my favorites :). I like know by heart almost every single line from Ren's psycho rants in Stimpy's Fan Club and Sven Hoek (even the cut lines).
According to Joe Murray's book, he did say that Camp Lazoo...
It would be nice if she had a more Harley Quinn quality to her, then I'd probably like her better as well. :) lol
John Cleese, can't go wrong with Mr. Sillywalks. lol He's great in everything he does, even as a duel rich person in Great Muppet Caper. I'm a huge Monty Python's Flying Circus fan...
I'd love to own a Gizmo Furby myself :) Though what I'd love to see someday is a big animatorinic collectible figure of that intellectual Gremlin from Gremlins 2. lol I love him. "Well Fred what we want is what you humans have, civilization. Now take a look at this happy little fellow here" a...
And there's also another plus side to it too. Since it's electronic, no worries of it getting wet and multiplying. Sunlight doesn't harm it in anyway and the best of all, it can't eat to no worries of feeding it after midnight. lol Gremlins reference, couldn't resist :)
Wasn't there one with his Sumo Wrestler that keep singing "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!" lol I'd love to see that one again. Though I much preferred All That, Kenan & Kel and Cousin Skeeter.
